Love, sing me to sleep
For the day is finally done.
There is nothing left to reap.
There is nothing left to be won.

Love, sing me to sleep
I've led us through battle, led us through peace.
I've conquered the mighty, comforted the weak.
My body is tired, put me at ease.

Love, sing me to sleep
I've seen my loved ones too soon depart.
I've shed my last tear; nothing left to weep.
My soul strained; a void in my heart.

Love, sing me to sleep
For my time has come; my last breath.
There is nothing left I desire to keep.
There is nothing left but death.
