The imagery of love in this poem is extraordinary, and revealing. For the author and the reader. Singular beauty. I agree with Elorra Butler’s highlighting of the final two lines. An image to hear and see and feel with body and soul. Artistry. Thank you.

I love the opal metaphor. Eyes do glitter like that. And then you say diamonds that roll down your cheek. Two gems! I trace the line over your submissive edges. I can actually visualize that in my head. Describing lips as blushing pilgrims. Creative.
