Begone you howling she wolf
For I am not yet ready to meet my fate.
I fear not the swinging gates of hell.
I fear not my last breath.

You may call my name from the citadels of darkness
You may open wide your arms
Close off your heart to love
Your challenge is betrayed
Your stealthy dagger misplaced

My breath is strong
My desire stronger
I stand my ground, my cauldron bubbling
My coven sings my song neath the full moon rising
There shall be no blood spilt this night.
For my life is mine
Let the rising crescent stalk my soul
For I am me, and my life is mine.

A kindred spirit I see awaits.

She howls her defiance unable to bend

Gives the Gates of Hell a curse.

Never relenting. Ever no end.

No Peace for her, but her life she keeps.

A blaze of thought turned into a prayer.

Defiance blazes within her then she weeps.

She is iron and will always be there.

I am humbled.

A well done poem of standing up against threats of society and finding the courage to be yourself.

This is from Deb: Fantastic offering Cagivagurl, you're depth is amazing. Jeff might not tell you, but he likes this, too. 5 huge stars.
