I don't do lies well.
I don't do being hurt well...
You didn't see the hurt in my eyes when you said those words to me.

"They can't know."

I felt my stomach clench and my heart plummet.
And you didn't see.

Are you ashamed of being with me?
When you touched me, held me, kissed me, you didn't seem ashamed.
Are you embarrassed of being with me?
When you can't get enough of me, you didn't seem embarrassed.

Those three words broke something in us.

"They can't know."

I don't know who you think you are fooling, who you think you have fooled.
I don't know why you feel you have to lie.
I wonder what you are lying to me about...

"They can't know."

What a joke...
A pathetic, cruel joke that broke us, our friendship, our intimacy.

"They can't know."

They already do.
But that's just another thing you don't see.
