I like the way the light glints off the gold
Like a bright reminder of "to have and to hold"

And I can't wait to feel it against my skin
To hear my voice echo while I beg you to begin

I want to feel the sting as it connects
Watch the bruises form long after you've left

I know that it's wrong, it's not fair
But I want an imprint from the ring you wear

And I know you've got a separate life
Where you curl up and sleep next to your wife

I admit though, it doesn't bother me much
Knowing that I'm not the only one who feels your touch

Because I know that I'll be on your mind
Thinking of the marks you left behind

Yes, I know you'll be back soon
Because you need this sin just as much as I do
