Thought provoking with beautiful flow. Pardon me for highlighting a few verses/part of a stanza that resonates for me in a way possibly inconsistent with the closing message of your poem (or maybe not). Some 16 plus years ago very strong winds toppled some large trees in our woods — they embraced the land. Today, there is but bare remnants of the trees, all but swept away. Yet, the trees and the land are now one together forever/timeless.
carving away both trees and land
as they fall into their embrace
pounded and twisted
until all is swept away.
Thank you, Migbird, for your lovely prose poem - so glad to have been the cause of it xxxxx
This beautiful poem is quite lyrical; I feel and hear the lovely phrasing and images of optimism and romance.
You have a gift for writing, whether it be stories or poems. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
I don't want this feeling to go away
Who's to say
I can't do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren't always just what they seem
