Decent, but the ending sucks. Her new husband Bob, should discover her cheating, and divorce her. Oh their pre-nup has a nasty penalty for adultery. Lets see, that will put her around 40 years old, a 2 time divorcee guilty of cheating both times. I'm sure she will look good for several more years, and can get laid but any decent man will avoid a long term / permanent relationship with her. Let Jack find someone he can trust, love an build a life with.

Such a malignant relationship. Amy is a worthless excuse for a wife. That tired old trope about growing old and wanting to feel young again. I get it, growing older is a pain (literally at times) but it is also inevitable. The alternative is NOT growing old...which means you died young! But for a married couple truly in love, growing old together is a natural progression in life that can be embraced. Amy viewing life as HER growing older instead of THEM growing older only revealed her own selfishness and self-centered tendencies. Her desires and needs outweighed her love for Jack as her husband and their combined love as husband and wife. Honestly, not enough toast at this breakfast!

Read it again but the ending wasn't clear since a divorce wasn't mentioned only in a roundabout way. But still felt the ending was rushed because no divorce dialogue like u normally get

The marriage was over when the wife raised the idea of going on a date with another man - end of story.

The divorce documents should have been waiting for her to sign when she got home after the first date. The door locks should have been changed before she got home from the first date - with all of her clothes and personal effects sitting outside the door.

It’s just twisted. First, why satisfy her after date #2, when he knew it would encourage date #3? Dangerous precedent. She deserved to be left hanging.

Then, Jack obviously planned the ultimatum. She gave her date a special outfit, then rubbed Jack’s nose in it by wearing it on married date night. Right there is time to change the plan. Bring the divorce petition to dinner, then after sex, call Jack without offering her a choice. Either she follows him out, or signs the papers.

Finally, why should he have her as date to family events? He’s already been humiliated enough. Attend alone, and set the narrative.

Sci-Fi. Interesting read, but it was so far-fetched and nonsensical, it belongs in the science fiction category. To be entertaining or even to prompt examination, a work must invite interest, elicit emotion or even create cognitive dissonance. This doesn't. I admire the writers sense of adventure, his engaging in creative risk, but there's nothing here past mild curiosity. I can't even rate it, it's so... not there. -/5.

Aw, you really missed a chance in the epilogue to have the ex-wife regret her choice when her 'main husband' is seen with other women.

A lot of 'cake-eaters' are actually very insecure and easily jealous. It'd be more like a really bad sun burn when she sees Jack happy with younger or more exotic women. Hell, even a carbon copy of her that DOESN'T cheat would piss her off. Men and women like his ex are a walking cliche', and they don't like to share their toys.

It was there, but there was no brain activity. The wife became so disenchanted with her husband and marriage that she bet it on the open marriage roulette wheel. She appeared to not notice that only she was playing the game, not her husband. But I'm surprised why the husband continued to date the slut while she was sampling other men searching for husband number 2. And then the first husband became the same sort of asshole who helped the whore end their marriage. The ending leaves the chronic cheating whore looking like some sort of sociopath. The first husband was a fool at the beginning of the story, now he's playing with fire. Wouldn't it be funny if the second husband maims or kills the first husband for fucking his wife?

Jack needs to send Bob pic’s and video of his cheating wife in.Chaoter 3 if there is one. Then Bob divorces her and by that time Jack gets married to another and tell Amy to sod off, leaving her alone with her cat.

I have always shared my women but this strain of independence to the relationship would be tough to deal with. I guess hubby handled it better than I would.
