Caildier's life in the city may of just got more interesting due to the female from the house he was adopted into showing up. That Varas seens like a play on Jaraxel Baenre except he might be more willing to aid Selene and Ashyr than hinder them due to how gain was possible. I suspect Vasas is either a demon, dragon, or a survivor from Caildier's homeland due to how knowledgeable he is of ancient magic and Caildier's abilities.
