I really liked some of your unusual touches - she's a suburbanite with a job and has tastes for certain kinds of personalities, not just physical features; he's not the typical were-creature. I would have liked to see more of those ideas explored, and it seemed like your story was two separate halves without a strong bridge between them. If this turns into the first part of a series, I'd definitely read it!
