Great story, well written. Sure brings back some memories, not that I had a lady do that to me, but the rest was about right.
Lived through the 60’s. Got my letter. Never had a beautiful stranger give me a hand job.
A very well written story describing one of many events that occur through life that does not impact the world or a life, but never forgotten in a lifetime.Realistic enough for 5 stars....proceeding to read all your tales....JZK
Great story written with a sensitivity that’s fantastic. For someone who got the “greetings” letter brings back memories of better times
Today I started to go through your stories. After reading a few of them I must say I like your style very much.
Now I will just keep on reading. Thank you so much!
How 'bout that? Just a soul. I wonder if she told her husband about it?
Not only of your writing talent but that I didn't meet that beautiful lady on my way to Basic Training in 1968.
Your story reminded me of some of mine. Fond memories, indeed. Thank you very much for writing.

it's a veritable MM trademark to meld a touch of the sublime with the low down & gritty.
I am only 66, but that brought back a memory of me riding a Greyground bus. I was laying across the back seat in full uniform (USMC)1962. I woke up covered by a young lady's sweater. A pretty young teenage girl had covered me I realized, because she smiled at me from another seat. I returned her sweater and I sat with her after that. We passionately kissed and hugged for an hour or two until I reached Oceanside, Ca.
I had never realized it but her Mother and Sister had been sitting across from us all that time and had never interfered in any way, allowing us our privacy. I remember the Mother and the younger Sister smiling at each other. I only found that the three were related after we got off. We kissed one last time and never saw each other again. We had lived a lifetime of romance in that brief interlude and I have never forgotten.
I am sure that she had a real life to continue in her world, and I had my life and duty ahead of me at 18. I never questioned her motives because as you wrote...our souls flowed together for moment in time. Thank you for putting it so romantically, Ron Wood
A poem within a poem. I very much enjoyed your story Magmaman.
The moral majority may react negatively but her actions appear to be relevant!
When a person passes that "70" mark they begin to reflect more on what life was (or, at least for me). Really a good story and a real commentary on life. Truly enjoy your writings.
That was unexpected from you. Very short and enjoyable, just like his poem. I liked it and thanks for the story. Jim
