I've made the following comment on many a story I've read here on Literotica, and each time it's with the proviso that I'm not a "Burn the bitch" or "Wimpy reconciliation" kind of guy; while I certainly have my own preferences in the matter, I reserve my comments for the actual writing itself. That said, here is my feedback on your story:

If you are going to take the time to craft a work that leans so heavily in one direction - in this case, toward "cut the bitch off at the knees" - then changing your story to reconciling will require a considerable amount of work to make such a radical change plausible. This has nothing to do with the real world, but instead has *everything* to do with maintaining that suspension of disbelief which is crucial when writing (and reading) fiction. The dialog, the back story and the author's own expository contributions all must lead the reader, as well as the characters, to the conclusion which is ultimately penned.

With that in mind, I found myself highly disappointed in the sudden flip-flop that the story line took. I though it was a weak plot twist, much like that used in "Dallas" when the story line brought Bobby Ewing back under the pretext that the entire previous season had simply been a dream his wife, Sue Ellen, had. Give me a reason to believe in the world you created with your words! Yes, it is only temporary; from the moment we, as readers, put eyes to the page, your world grows and takes shape within our minds. It is a heavy responsibility to have, creating worlds and those who inhabit them.

Use it responsibly.

Should have stuck to one constant characterization rather than change it. The usual cop out is that human beings are complex .. blah blah but this didn't gel with the rest of him.

The author made a big task for himself to make the reconsideration plausible. It is clearly not a total flip-flop, but it is a significant change in his intent. It can (and has) been done in other stories (at least to my satisfaction), but it takes careful writing. My impression is that Jekyll felt that a short word-count was more important.
