An elegantly written little piece with an underlying edge of tension and desire, nicely observed.
It's a shame Lit readers generally don't like the short 750 word format, one can find little gems in the shortest of short vignettes - like this one.
Beautifully written. With few words you transport the reader into the church and really into the inner life of the woman you observe who is drastically under-fulfilled. The perceptiveness and cherishing of the narrator though fiercely erotic seems strangely appropriate to the sanctity of church. Lovely job on this.
