Author's note: This concludes "A Vampire for Christmas". It does not, however, end the tale, nor my stories of Katherine and the Vampire World into which she now belongs. I can imagine visits with Beverly, with Francois and Michelle, and much more in that vein, no pun intended. Plus, I am wildly curious about how Helena came to be an Original Vampire. I have thoughts, but no clear decision. If there is interest, I will continue to publish.
My idea is to write tales about the characters and this World that do not require new readers to binge on chapters under this title. Some readers don't like to do that and I would hate for them to miss the opportunity to see if they would enjoy this vision of Vampires. Though, I would love for them to want to read each chapter. Truth be told, I genuinely like this World and the characters. I imagine the tale of Helena would be several chapters, including some dark and dangerous parts to her story. Plus, every palace has its intrigue.
For those who wondered, Todd Snider is an actual recording artist. He has written some really good songs. 'Trouble" is a real song. Look it up on your favorite music app. If you like it, be sure not to miss his 'Talking Seattle Grunge Blues', 'Alright Guy' and 'My Generation'. They are genuine fun.

To Anonymous, who asked for more about Diana, thanks, that is an intriguing angle I had not spent much time considering. Her quiet and analytical nature just sort of happened in the telling. She is the perfect foil for Helena’s fire. It seems to me that the personalities of Colleen and Katherine are somewhat a similar match. It was no accident that Helena declared that she saw her younger self in Katherine. Nothing I have written was planned. The story has simply played out as I have written. After 5 chapters, the character are real to me. So, I do now edit their comments in an attempt to keep them consistent with how they have evolved. Personally, the character that was the most fun to write in Chapter 5 was Bridget. That she had such a large role in Chapter 5 was a surprise. But, I can now see a larger role for her. I take every comment with full gratitude. It is nice to know what works and what might bring pleasure to the readers who have taken to this story. It helps me to choose which branches to trim and which to expand.

I want Diana’s… she’s so there but in a quiet watchful way until her wisdom is needed and she managed to capture Helena’s gaze AFTER Colleen. You would need to be a pretty special human to become mate to a millennia’s old original like Helena. I would love to know more.
