Is it strange that I find his sister much more disturbing than him?

I didn't like her character when she first appeared and despised her at the end of part 4.

The story overall was something different (both what the author usually writes and LW genre), so that's a plus too.

It was lovely my friend. Ignore the whiny bitches. They all just hate women.

Finally the ending, the sister Dom thing was weird, but the entire story is well worth the 5 stars all day.

He’s a sociopath. How long before he kills again? How many lives will he take before he is caught?

You want to make him like Dexter, how well did that work out for him?

So yeah, don’t let us think the cops would drop the case because they aren’t interested in justice, they want closure and if they have a suspect, they’ll plant evidence of it means getting a conviction.

Thank you...

For finishing this story. Writing dialogue must be difficult at times, this is what makes your stories just so much better. Can't wait for the next story. Grouch6977

Fantastic story!

Great characters, very absorbing. Many, many thanks for sharing your work and talent.

I am not a big fan of RAAC type tales unless the plot really makes sense. have to say this series, while it had some ups and downs, was pretty darn good. This would make a great base for some future tales with the same cast of characters. Talk about diverse!!! A definite 5.

Legio_Patria_NostraLegio_Patria_Nostraover 2 years ago

You captured a unique dynamic in Wane's peculiar psychosis and the way it's tied into his marriage. It's crystal clear why her paramours disappeared; it was literally their life or his. Betty IS his life. The fact that Betty was the only one who could connect with him and with whom he could connect, is lost on the BTBAAC crowd. (For some, I think even 'Smokey and The Bandit' was probably a bit too deep, too nuanced.)

.

You write in pastel shades sprinkled with bold, brassy shades of color, which results in a slightly dystopian, yet very real, reality. This is VERY good writing. Kudos on creativity and execution. 5++++/5!!!

Extremely well written, long without being long-winded. With all of the malignant narcissists running around these days, it is a very good thing to be given insight to the condition as a disorder rather than an immediate threat to continued life on our planet. Playing off the brother's narcissism with the sister's lesser degree of sociopathy was well conceived and admirably accomplished. It is interesting to note that the challenges faced by and facing these two siblings made the wife's infidelity fade into the background. The wife and her sister together with their parents added to this celebration of social disorder. Thank you very much for efforts.

With Dexter having a new season, this is pretty much perfect. By the way, this is how a RAAC should be written, not like all those rushed stories out there. It had a build up to it.

Damn I think you burned every other writer here after this amazingly written story. The amount of depth in the story and the characters was just astounding. You wove a tale that precludes the single digit IQ reader from truly grasping the reality of the people you created. That happens with the chest thumpers, its some kind of wannabe alpha male thing around here.

Honestly I saw no way any husband could or should forgive a wife for what he saw. That would be my response, but Wane isn't me, and with everything Wane IS, in this case, clearly he did the right thing. And if he had decided otherwise, this story would have fallen apart completely.

Thank you for the work and effort you put into writing a tale even you may not be able to surpass in the future. If Literotica ever hands out a Best Of Award, you'd rightly get it.

Wane (Y NO Y?) was a really interesting character. If he was emotionless, why rage? Why so much rage that he had the guys iced? I hafta ponder that. Cold rage maybe. I know it is possible to plot revenge, but if you ave no emotion, why do you need revenge? Also he was very close to his Chinese mom. As for the cheating sisters, their malady was too linear. Nevertheless, I went back and read the entire series, front to back. Sure held my interest. D

Great ending to the story. Had its rocky moments, still disliked Maggie using John Money to justify the wife and the sister's cheating behavior but wound up disliking Maggie in general, and unlike Betty I think Celine was too far gone, but overall a great series. Enjoyable and I think believable reconciliation, interesting characters, and interesting dynamics. 5 stars. Wouldn't mind a side story dealing with Maggie, delving into whatever insanity is lurking in her brain. I half expected her to try to seduce Wane or something because she sounded so obsessed.

That’s a very fitting ending. A lot of moving parts came together, I never saw Celine having Griffin, as part of it. Or Maggie being as selfish, cruel, and manipulative, as she revealed. Excellent work, weaving the different POVs together, and keeping the focus from meandering.

Thank you for the ending, hoped for a happy ending. They were a odd but nice couple. I especially enjoyed the revenge on her parents (God did they suck) remember "People are people" if they can heal things, don't make it harder, the human world is hard enough without all th extra "Assholery" we all generate in our arrogance, ignorance and bigotry.

Not that it entirely matters -

I think that the Wane character is demonstrating Schizoid behavior - psychopathy in my experience tends to have more manipulative aspects, such as shown by the sister. And, the female lead has issues similar to Wade...

I reread Dory by Cloacas - I think it is a simpler look at similar mental states - a bit more charming. Recommended if you liked this one for the look at other worlds.

Green-something

(Cloacas, for all of his humor and limited output, wrote stuff I quite like)

kelchakelchaover 2 years ago

Very well done. A very hard subject to portray. Crazy in a functional way, but really, psychopaths rule the world. Just think of the millions of dead since WW2 due to the USA military industrial complex.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

I appreciate the attention you paid to the complexity, and how the reconciliation has a reason that isn't "he's weak." These two really need each other, and she's the only one who has ever understood him enough to get anywhere inside. Because of that understanding, she knows what will happen if she ever slips again. And she has come to an understanding of why she was broken too, and is equipped now.

You really have a way with messed-up families in your stories, and you sometimes go pretty deep into those dysfunctional relationships. It's compelling reading.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Terrific and emotional story that is more realistic than many might realize. I am a pastor and have been a chaplain in a state hospital. The characters reflect a reality that I have seen in people I have dealt with. The author did a good job of developing complex characters and weaving a compelling and intricate storyline.

I've put off reading this for so long and I don't really know why other then maybe just the blurb didn't catch my attention like most of your other stories. I have to say I'm kicking myself now. I loved it. It's so different from most of your work but also amazing in It's difference. Honestly it turned out different then I expected but I'm not disappointed at all in that. It's an amazing story with amazing depth. Great work

It was a long story but I was never bored. Well written and had my emotions on a roller coaster. I am doing a lot of soul searching because I have so much in common with understanding why I have never been able to relate to the feelings other people have. When I was a child I wondered why people cried at funerals, and I still have to fake feelings most of the time.

Excellent writing and story. Highly creative. The twist with his sister was quite a surprise. The analysis into why Betty followed her obsession was very illuminating. And their road to reconciliation was complex and varied. Exceptional. Two broken sounds that complement one another.

muskyboymuskyboyalmost 2 years ago

Your artistic license on Wane's sometimes there, sometimes not, absence of emotions got quite annoying after a while.

"I know you're still angry with me, and you have every right to be" ( an inane statement) is she really giving him the right to be angry? She was a cheating slut, remorseless until caught after her pre-planned adultery.

Bill, Celine's husband, is one of the most spineless cuckolds on this site, and that is saying something.

In the absence of emotion why would Wane take her back???

You have done much better than this series.

Excellent writing and storyline. Betty should thank her lucky stars that Wane truly loved her, or she might have ended up dead like the two black guys that seduced his wife. The message to would be cheaters at the end was a great footnote at the end of the story. Well done. 5/5

Great job and hope to read more of your stories and thoughts.

This author is a very good writer, but I sincerely doubt the premise of this reconciliation story. No husband would take back a wife who acted that way, or at least I would not. And given her mental issues and family? Geeze. There is a difference between dealing with the better or worse part of a marriage and having to long suffer it like the brother-in-law did with the sister. Quietly divorce, see to her care, then move on for the sake of mental stability.

Fantastic as far as I am concerned. I wish Sean and Dean weren't murdered, as they did not deserve to be killed, however had Wane called it off that would have seemed odd to me for him to do that. He was no cuck as some have liked to say, since he put a stop to her cheating immediately once he found out.

I just don't see why Betty did not go to a motel for her silly little tryst, and I do believe that her childhood most cerrtainly had an impact on her views towards sex and infidelity.

If you can take out the killing then Wane is actually a really good person, despite his condition.

Just read this story for the second time today. Where most 'loving wife' style stories are more of a raac / btb style story, you've managed to write a redemption arc that's believable in it's setting. I like how you wrote the story from both Wane and Betty's viewpoints. Loved the rollercoaster of emotions you wrote in this story. 5/5

A great story that also taught me the difference in psychopath and psychopath. It’s nice knowing all psychopaths and sociopaths are not murderers. A good story of redemption and forgiving. I also like the last paragraph. If more people thought about it before cheating, maybe the rate would go down. One thing you need to be careful of is having two phrases in a sentence or concur sentences rhyme as you did in several of yours. It ended s up sounding like La de da da de, la de da da de. Two rhyming phrases tends to be annoying. Keep up the good work. MtM

I love this story. You created something I never would have even thought about and this is bloody brilliant. Your variety of characters are as diverse as they are strange yet they all play off each other so well. There were plenty of surprises and some of them rather shocking which was another way that you drove this story above and beyond the typical stories I have found. I cannot wait to delve into all the other pieces you created. Thank you for creating and posting this wildly exciting ride, it was a joy to get lost in.

The story is well told however, I just don't see why Betty deserved the forgiveness Wayne gave her almost immediately. She talks about a long hard road yet she was back in his bed what 3 days later? I'm all for reconciliation but it needs to be earned. I just didn't see it here.
