"You okay?" Violet asked when Pascal opened her eyes.

"Yes, I wish you could have helped me more," Pascal said accusatively.

"You're both of my clients. Had I not known that you two were connected, I would have had you invade my world to learn," Violet told Pascal as she changed into her normal human form and felt the wound area.

"Really? Why let your world be invaded?" Pascal asked to let Violet feel around the bite area. She sighed as she felt a cool sensation invade the area, causing her to relax.

"The best way to teach someone safely is to use some Fae magic; if your body was damaged, I just healed it. It might not be fully healed or can be; it all depends on how much damage has passed into reality," Violet explained as she leaned back, sitting on her feet.

"I understand. What would you have done for him?" Pascal asked as nearby wolves walked away.

"I would have created an invader puppet to test his defenses," Violet answered.

"Tomorrow night, will you be helping us both again?" Pascal asked, standing up and stretching.

"Yes, but if I feel like it's getting too dangerous for you, I'll stop this. You are the invader; you can't hurt him like he can you. As the dreamwalker, you are far more susceptible to harm in the world. Please trust me, I am speaking from experience," Violet explained, watching Pascal stretch.

"I believe you; I won't stop, though.. I want Cody, but I can't face him in person," Pascal said, shivering.

"Was he truly that terrifying? I've met him myself, and he was nice. inside the dreamworld he's not that different, which means that he is true to himself as much as he can be," Violet said as she started to hover.

"I can't explain it. You would have had to see what I saw," Pascal said, hugging herself and walking out of the cave into the damp forest.

"I can just picture it. One moment," Violet said as she flew like a beam of light out of the dream world. After a few breaths, she came back holding a monstrous spider the size of a large dog.

"This tormentor was chasing a small child; pour what you remember towards it; it'll take that form," Violet said, throwing the spider down. Purple strands erupted from Violet, ensnaring the spider.

"Won't it just escape and hurt me?" Pascal said, stepping back from the creature.

"It'll be okay; I'm here after all," Violet said.

"Fine," Pascal said, pointing both hands towards it, palm outwards. Pascal chose the moment when she saw Cody react at the warehouse, showing his true form as if he wanted to kill everything.

Pascal shivered and stopped when she heard Violet gasp. "Now I see why you fear him."

Pascal opened her eyes and froze. She saw Cody standing, his normal height of six feet, his facial features sharpened, his hands without scales but long claws protruding from the tips of his fingers, his eyes the color of deep blood red, his pupils thin lines. The look promised death to whoever was on the receiving end of it.

Violet stepped into Pascal's view of the silent doppelganger and said, "Focus Pascal, it's simple Fae; you can now banish it from your world."

Before Violet finished speaking, the Cody-like creature roared in anger as it suddenly flew backwards out of the world. "I see why you feared him. When I met him, he wasn't like that. What caused him to look like that?" Violet asked as she watched the creature fly away.

"I don't know," Pascal stuttered heavily. "One moment we were helping him clean the place up, marking areas and having food. The next, a sound rang out in the facility, but before it went off I saw him change and stare out the window."

"What did he do after that? Was anyone near him?" Violet asked.

"His girlfriend was with him," Pascal answered, then squinted as she remembered a small detail she always ignored: "He stuck his hands out to the side one was protecting her." Pascal went quiet as she realized Cody wasn't trying to kill her.

"His other hand would have been in front of me if I was standing behind him. He wasn't trying to kill me; he was protecting us," Pascal said, looking at Violet in shock.

"I know that those of the royal line can easily scare demis or use demis instincts to control them; maybe you shouldn't have listened to your instincts first," Violet offered quietly, hugging her.

"Now that explains why you didn't want to meet him; care to explain the horny part?" Violet asked, teasing Pascal.

Pascal blushed deeply and stepped back, answering, "As much as I was scared, it also excited me. I think I have to blame my wolf blood for that."

"Right, the stronger the male, the more you want to breed; it must be double as strong for wolves and other canines," Violet said, knowing the effects of royal bloodlines on other demis.

"It is. I remember hearing about some distant cousin that ran into one of the Fenrir lines; she stripped in the middle of the street and tried to jump him, but it didn't end well for either of them, sadly," Pascal explained.

"Fair enough. You should dream right now and stay asleep; I'll contact you this week for another in-person visit," Violet said as she slowly backed away and then upwards, leaving the dream world.

Pascal smiled as she walked towards the cave, und her pile of furs, and laid down on them, drifting into the fog of sleep.

Cody yawned and stretched in the bed. He realized that none of the girls were in bed with him. Checking the time,, he sat up quickly, grabbed some clothes, and walked out of the bedroom. "Why did no one wake me up? It's almost ten."

"First, we thought you would wake up sooner, and secondly, sometimes sleeping in isn't a bad thing; you can still get to the new place by this afternoon," Sarah said while warming up breakfast for him.

Cody shook his head and sighed. "So did I get hard last night?"

"Actually, no, you didn't, which I think is unfortunate," Carly said.

"I'm sorry?" Cody said it half-heartedly.

"Don't be; did anything interesting happen this time?" Eveline asked.

"Not really; I embarrassed her, made her angry, and got her to leave--nothing too big," Cody answered.

"Sounds kind of boring," Sarah said, putting the now warm food on the kitchen island.

"It was," Cody said, not remembering all the details accurately.

"Oh well, what's your plan for the day?" Sarah asked him.

"Same thing, sit downstairs till about noon, then head over and see if we can't get the door open.

"What door?" Sarah asked.

Oh right, I didn't tell you, apparently there is a flight-based demi living on the third floor of the connection area; they've got the door barricaded and no one has found a way in from outside. "We're going to get into the room and hopefully talk to them and see if we can help them if need be," Cody explained.

"Is there anything else?" Carly asked pointedly.

"Not really. They don't talk to anyone or respond to anything, so we have to get aggressive. Plus I don't know how long they've been living there, but the insulation has asbestos in the walls, so it's more of a health concert than anything," Cody answered.

"Why haven't any of the Demis tried to talk?" Eveline asked.

"They have, but whoever lives there ignores them," Cody answered after a large bite.

"That's understandable; they don't know you or know if it's a trap, so they're probably staying silent," Sarah said while Eveline hummed in agreement.

"I'll take your word on that," Cody said as he finished his breakfast, then asked, "What do you three have planned?"

"I'm going to go see some friends, maybe meet up with Carmen and talk to her a bit," Eveline answered as she stood up, stretching while her animal features shrank and faded.

"You know your jewel is very visible now; you might want to wear some high-waisted pants or shorts if you have any," Cody said, appreciating the view.

Eveline looked back and noticed it. "Fair enough."

"I'll be going over to my warehouse and doing a bit of a lookover on my reptiles, talking to volunteers, and seeing if they need me for anything," Carly said as she stood and focused. After a few moments, she looked wholly human.

Cody laughed as he looked between them. "I kind of forgot you two are twins; now that you're humans, it's hard to tell you apart."

Eveline laughed lightly as Carly looked annoyed and asked, "Did you honestly forget?"

Cody looked down and blushed slightly. "Yes, I did."

Eveline hugged Carly close and pressed her cheek into her sisters. Eveline teased Cody by saying, "Maybe we should stay human and fuck him; make him see double."

Carly smirked and hugged her sister closer, asking her, "I like that idea; do the job first or take turns sucking him off?"

"Blowjob first, then tit job; maybe get him to plow us both in turn," Eveline answered as she pulled away from Carly, holding her hand and walking towards the bedroom. "Let's stop this right now; make him wait for release."

"You're both bad," Cody said loudly as they closed the door.

"Why's that?" Sarah asked as she moved beside him, rubbing his bulge.

"Don't you start; I should get going as well," Cody said, standing and walking towards the door to put on his boots.

"See you tonight, honey," Sarah said as Cody finished tying the laces.

"See you girls later," Cody said, closing the door and descending.

Cody got into his truck and noticed that he still had the large order written down from when he got the security team coffee. He smirked, pulled out of the underground lot, and drove.

Cody walked into Betty's Bakery, waved at Alphonse, and said, "Hello, I have a large order today."

Alphonse handed a customer their coffee and asked, "What's the order?"

Cody handed him the note: "This should make it easier."

Alphonse read the note and said, "This will take a bit; you might as well sit down and wait."

"I will," Cody responded. Cody sat down, waiting, and flinched when he noticed Pascal floating towards the bathroom naked, making a come-here motion with her hand. Cody stood up and walked towards the bathroom, following her in and locking the door behind him.

"Are you going to follow me everywhere?" Cody demanded quietly, sounding annoyed.

"No, I only wanted to tell you that I want to meet you today," Pascal responded, floating near Cody.

"I'm going to the warehouse today; come over there and we can talk," Cody said to her.

"I'll try to be there by one p.m.," Pascal said.

Cody studied Pascal and asked, "So do you like to float around naked?"

Pascal blushed and responded by teasing him, "No, but I'm not able to bring clothes with me just yet. Not like you can do anything to me anyway."

Cody remembered how he had already spanked her spirit. He closed his eyes and reached out, focusing. They both gasped as his hand closed around her throat. Pascal started to panic as he brought her closer and slipped his other hand between her legs, teasing her, "Guess you're not so safe from me."

"This isn't possible," Pascal moaned, trying to push him away, but her hands passed through his chest. Cody smirked and attacked her clitoral area harshly, making her cum quickly. As Pascal reached her climax, she disappeared completely.

"I can't believe I can touch ghosts," Cody said to himself as he left the bathroom.

"Your orders are done; I hope you sprayed," Alphonse said, pushing the large box filled with coffee and pastries.

Cody smirked and responded, "Sorry, I didn't have much time at home; I ended up sleeping in, and yes, I did."

Alphonse laughed a bit and said, "I'm only teasing you."

"Have a good day," Cody said behind him as he used his body to open the doors. Cody put the box down and climbed inside, leaving for the warehouse.

Cody pulled into the parking lot, stopping at the mobile base. Before Cody could step out, a tired-looking Manny opened the door, asking, "Hey boss, what's up?"

"Just coming down to check things out; maybe make a few plans, you ok? You look tired," Cody answered.

"Just waking up for my shift," Manny answered, watching Cody pull out the box.

"Take this inside and be careful with it; treat it like it's made of glass," Cody told Manny, who took the box carefully.

"What's in it?" Manny asked, walking inside.

Cody smirked and said, "A bomb."

Manny looked up in confusion and put it down slowly, opening the top carefully, doubting Cody had put in an actual bomb.

Cody opened the lid, saying, "A caffeine bomb." Cody pulled out two cups filled with still-hot coffee.

Manny glared at Cody in annoyance. "You could have just said coffee; no need for the theatrics."

Cody was laughing as he picked up his cup and drank from it. "I could, but that wouldn't be fun now, would it?" Cody asked as some of the off-duty people came into the small room, smelling coffee.

Cody leaned against the counter as everyone came in. "So any news on the locked door or who the occupant is?"

"Some good news: they come and go quite frequently now; we think they're leaving because when they're seen leaving, they have a bag on their backs," Manny answered, pulling out a box of muffins, donuts, and bagels.

"Think we can get that door open today? I know they're going to start pulling down walls and putting up supports today," Cody said, giving Ashley a curious glance.

As Manny answered, Cody watched Ashley put a large amount of peanut butter on a bagel. "I don't see why not; give me about ten minutes, and we can go start that."

Cody focused on Manny and responded, "That can wait a bit. I wanted to talk to the person who does all the magic stuff. I wanted to ask about the barriers specifically."

"Sure, I'll get Dennis out here, one moment," Manny responded, walking into the back end of the RV.

After a minute, Manny came back in with a tall but thin man with thick glasses following closely. "Cody, this is Dennis, our resident mage."

"Nice to meet you, Dennis," Cody said as Dennis sat at the nearby table.

"Thank you; it's good to meet you. What do you want to know?" Dennis said, watching Cody sit down across from him.

"I'm curious about what the barriers around my house and this building stop," Cody asked.

Dennis took a few moments to think before answering, "They stop all spells that would cause harm or reveal any information; they do have trouble stopping natural magic users, such as fey spells or enhanced abilities."

"What about astral projections?" Cody said.

"Yes and no. If they're something like a planeswalker or dreamwalker, it won't stop them from coming to someone specifically; if they try to enter here from the outside without their body, they'll be stopped," Dennis explained.

"Okay, I asked because the past few days or so I've had a dreamwalker invade my dreams; I've already learned how to defend my dream palace from a professional my dad referred to me. I also saw the same person while I was driving around; most of the time it was harmless," Cody said to Dennis, who looked worried.

"If you want, we can go find them now," Dennis said quickly, while Manny nodded.

"I'll get some supplies," Manny said, turning to walk away.

"Stop, it's fine; I know the person and why it was done; she's coming here today to meet me," Cody explained.

"Who was it?" Manny asked.

"Remember when the people came over to help clean the place? It was Pascal, the granddaughter of Doris. She saw me change when the barrier activated, and it scared her. So she came to me in my sleep rather than in person. After a few attempts that led to failure, she's coming here instead," Cody answered.

"I'll have someone watch for her; guess we let her in?" Manny asked.

"Yes. Also, Dennis, I wanted to ask you a small favor if you have time. Can you help me learn to read magic circles?" Cody asked as he let his eyes change into their draconic form.

Dennis' eyes went wide and he asked, "May I ask why?"

"So I can learn more about when I'm capable of it," Cody answered.

"I see no problem with that, do you, sir?" Dennis asked Manny.

"Go for it; use the van so you don't get interrupted," Manny said.

"Thanks," Cody said, standing along with Dennis, who led Cody out of the RV and into the large black van that had various equipment.

"Here, take a seat. So what do you want to start with? Basic spells like shields or a force blast?" Dennis asked, taking a seat across from Cody.

"From what I understand, I can't learn magic, but I have a very strong connection to natural magic. I can also see magic where others can't," Cody answered, not really knowing what to say.

"If I recall correctly, dragons can see everything for what it truly is, meaning they see past illusions or know what spells are being used just by looking. If that's true, then try to tell me what this spell does; I'll explain it after," Dennis said as he held out his hands, forming a small magic circle in the air. It had a center with a large rune and two more outer circles containing small runes.

Cody stared at it with his dragon eyes; the runes seemed to shift, turning into words: "Do you see them changing?" Cody asked.

"Nothing changed for me; tell me what you see," Dennis asked.

"The runes changed into English for me, while certain lines between them are glowing different colors," Cody answered.

"Tell me what they say first," Dennis asked.

"The big one in the middle says air; the middle layer says 'to pushback', 'divert force', 'negate heat and cold'. The last layer says 'fill the circle in front of the caster'," Cody read out loud.

"That's exactly right; this is a defensive spell meant to stop basic magic attacks like fireballs and ice balls. For blast, it can stop other elemental magic attacks but has trouble stopping the physical portion. To make it able to do that, I would have to add one more layer," Dennis explained.

"Why does the middle say air?" Cody asked.

"That's the source of the spell; it takes its power from the air in front of me, and the middle layer is the instructions for the air; the final layer is the size, shape, and thickness. The larger and more layers a circle has, the longer it takes to cast while also being more complicated." Dennis explained as Cody leaned back.

"Want me to make the largest magic circle I can? I'm quite proud of it, to be honest," Dennis said, hopeful.

"Sure, let's see it," Cody said, looking excited.

"We have to step outside for it," Dennis said, standing and opening the side door.

They walked around the van and stood behind the RV while the van blocked the view to the building. Dennis stopped and told Cody, "Step back; it takes some time to cast."

Cody stepped back and watched in awe as the circle formed. It had six layers, not including the center. As it formed, Dennis started to sweat. Cody watched in fascination and shivered as the runes formed, then changed into English. Cody read them from the center outwards.

The center reads fire, air, and energy. The second layer had five single runes: reading, pushing, spinning, heat, focusing, and forward. The third layer had basic instructions using the five words: push through, spin tightly, heat inside, focus line, and forward only. The fourth and fifth layers gave more instructions, while the final layer said the single phrase, 'push through everything, rip all things inside, burn and melt all that touches, and focus into a beam of twisting fire that must always move forward,' Cody finished as the spell circle dissipated. Cody noticed that Dennis looked tired.

"Are you okay?" Cody asked Dennis, who put his hands on his knees and panted.

"Ya, maintaining that circle for so long was tiring. Can you tell me what you think it does?" Dennis said between breaths.

"It seems to create a fire tornado," Cody answered.

"Half right, it creates a fire vortex that fires in a straight line, melting things, and when it hits something it can't break, it explodes into a large fireball that lights everything on fire. It took me a year to create that spell," Dennis said, sounding proud and tired.
