One of the best I've read in quite a while. The pacing was good, making us understand how Colin felt without overdoing it and making him into a pathetic looser. Nice touch with Michelle, without too much. (Although I think it is 'alright' rather than 'all right' in this case - bonus points for introducing me to 'inveigle' the perfect word at the perfect time.) You are a good writer and great storyteller!
