"Honey," I said, "we need to talk."

I saw Leila bite her lip and whimper. There was fear in her gaze.

"No, it's not what you think!" I said, and she started crying.

"No, Jake, I didn't do anything... honest. Please don't divorce me," she was sobbing as she kept her hands over her face.

I let her carry on for a minute or two and then cut it off before it got out of hand.

"So, tell me what happened?" I asked.

I know it's just a story, but many parts of it happen in real life. His mother was a real slut and very selfish as was my wife of 13 years when she divorced me. I didn't leave her alone like our MC did but I got old on her. She was 19 I was 25 when we married for the wrong reason, she was pregnant so I stood up and married her. She already had 2 year old. My job wasn't easy and I was wore out at 35. The marriage lasted and 3 years before she started going out to bars without me then she finally moved out and got her own apartment. There was nothing to fight fo she had 'fallen out of love' with me she said. So I gave her a divorce. She left the girls with me so she could go out and hunt men without have the girls to hamper her endeavors. Oh, incase you considering divorce (yeah she wanted on) I'm a do-it-you-selfer so I did. Only cost a $100 bucks to file no lawyer needed got book and filled out all the paperwork. Refinanced the house and gave her half, end of story except I lots the girls and that hurts at least I never bad mouth their mother but of course the kids blamed me for whatever reason. Why hang on f someone doesn't want you. Besides her cheating she was a very selfish person and gave no thought how it affected the girls. Being a pretty mechanic/technician I couldn't hold a job for 2 years my head was so screwed up, oh well, life goes on and it did. Just remember you don't need to spend $10K on lawyer just keep it civil and rational.

That was a good change for a story, nicely plotted and written, I was just going to moan that you left it hanging when I spotted you have a part two, great, off to read it now.

Second time. I did not get as much from the first as I did the second. Thank you, I would give it a five

I could change my mind and neuter all of you smartmouths.

However, I find some of the comments are helpful in pushing the story out.

I like your stories, esp the biographical ones, but kind of a pussy move to eliminate scoring. At least you still face the comments.

Incredibly well written story. You did a great job unflinchingly describing all points of view of the major characters. Angie's explanation of human sexuality to her son, and explaining the facts of life for pretty women was also dead-on. As well as the need for mixing up love-making with some plain old animalistic bed-destroying debauchery.

And the way you settle story up, with the loyal son at first accepting his father's side of everything, and then so convincingly yanking the rug out from under the reader's feet!

And the way you worked in the jeopardy his own marriage was in! Just awesomely well done!

good, very interesting, just rather long by a page or so as it got kind of repetitious.

I find that most people who don't like Jake's mother are the BTB types. You know the kind. Slugs drinking beer and getting fat on their recliner, expecting their wife to "be true" to them when they fail as men. Jake's father was typical of many men I saw growing up and later on as a man myself. They expect their wives to eat the shit sandwich and soldier on. Quit being a slug and be a man. If not, your wife may leave you and deservingly so. At least Angie waited until the kids were grown. She gave him chances to man up, but he was too busy watching TV or whatever the fuck. BTW. That goes for slug women, also. Slack off on your looks and sex, and you may just find yourself alone after the kids are grown. There is more pussy out there.

OMG. Angie is an uber-bitch. She sees herself as sexually liberated, but under all that is a misandrist. She doesn’t like or respect the men she’s using. She’ll continue with her current lifestyle, becoming a plastic surgery junkie until she looks like a mannequin. At some point, no one will want her. Men of her socio-economic stature will have sugar babies. She’ll end up alone, or have a boy toy who’s only there for her money. I’m also not digging she didn’t play by the rules with the money she earned. If the tables were turned… OK, rant over. Good story.

5stars. Well written and a very good tale.

I recognise is machist because puts all women on the same basket, but for beautify women this is very believable

4 stars. Mom was just shy of annoying, but at least she gave her son some insight into what his wife was dealing with. Her conclusions about sexuality weren’t the absolutes she asserted they were, but she made a great character in her narcissism. My only quibble with the tale is how the father/mother split was separate from the voice of the tale, which distanced the reader from the impact of the tale. The tale started to spark when the son’s mother got into her son's head about his wife, and once that spark was lit it segued to the end of the story, whereas the character the reader naturally cared about had just begun his experience.

Wow, the slut rationalization was fucking amazing. Good writing, but that mom is so full of crap I think in the same situation I suspect she would never see me or any other part of my family again, mind you i am a long ass way from a young man. I love my mom, but I love my dad, mom would be dead, to me, after this and if i caught my wife at it at this point ,...

So you are in awe of me as an author but gave my story a 1 ⭐️ because the subject manner "disturbed" you? Time for you to get some big girl panties and face the realities of life. And life... as I say often is a shit show. Good thing John Wayne is not here to see this comment. Buck up man. So his mommy gave him a lecture. if you bothered reading it, she gave him sound advice. Brutal and sound advice. More than his pussy of a father gave him
