This has all the trappings of an interesting story. There's some background, some interesting characters... And then nothing happens with it. I like that you dole out information without being captain exposition, but then nothing happens. I like your prose style. If you ever flesh things out, you could have a great story or set of stories.

Thanks for the feedback. I won't lie, I'd largely forgotten about this story as other projects have since taken the forefront of my focus. To clarify, this was the basic concept (let's loosely call it chapter 1) for a game I was working on with a small team. We were after some external feedback from a similar market/audience without giving too much away. Then Covid interfered and the project was put on hold, eventually falling through altogether as we moved onto other things.

With that said, I'm not using this plot for anything now so I might post a bit more. I do vaguely remember being annoyed by the submission process for this site though, so we'll see what happens, no promises.
