"Yes, but what has happened to the body?"
"The voice said parasite; perhaps it means it in every sense of the word. Some parasites eat their hosts, even change their behavior," Amancia said.
"That means whoever I sensed in the meeting is going to end up like this; we know who was there, lets start checking on them."
"There were thirty-five not counting you; we had better get busy."
"Well?" agent Franklin said.
Leslie had forgotten he was there. "Thank you agent, I will let you know if we develop any leads from this." Leslie turned and walked away, but Amancia put her hand on his arm and said something Leslie couldn't hear.
Once back in their car, Leslie looked at Amancia and raised an eyebrow.
Just flirting a little, he was pretty pissed at you, but he kept glancing at my chest. So I accidentally rubbed against his arm and told him I hoped we had a chance to work with him again. It seemed to work," she said with a smile.
Leslie grinned, but at the same time, she knew it was a rebuke. Amancia was much nicer than she was, and honestly, Leslie didn't care whether he liked her or not when she was in bitch mode. That happened when she got scared, and symbiont or not, the Om fucking scared her. It would go away in combat mode; fear just wasn't an emotion then, but it was now, and seeing those people destroyed like that made her angry and scared. So when she found what was doing this, she was going to blow it into tiny pieces.

Really glad to read more of this awesome story. Really looking forward to your next update.
Interesting read. Has certainly improved from the first chapter, which I apparently had read awhile ago and didn't remember. Only the star rating I left told me that I had read it before. After noticing this new chapter recently and the improved scores, I decided to give it another go. However, despite the improvement, it still needs editing work, especially with the placement of punctuation and spacing between paragraphs and dialogue.
On another note, I think it might be high time for Rhys and the team to get some satellites of their own up in orbit, watching not only the planet but space as well. They're pretty much blind to whatever is up there, as evidenced by them running across those two Om ships awhile ago. If they had satellites up, they probably would have seen those ships leaving the planet.
Also, I'm not so sure on how effective having a base in orbit around Uranus is going to be, at least with regards to acting as the first line of defense for the solar system. It won't be of much use if the Om arrive in system on the opposite side of the system from where Uranus is. They may need to build a space station or two to cover that area.
Speaking of space, has there been any reaction to that flash of light from the destruction of the Om ship, the one that got hit by a missile going in excess of .5c? I believe it was mentioned that it would be hard to miss back on Earth.
Anyways, looking forward to more. Keep it up.
Great, looking forward to lots more soon I hope. Thanks for writing and sharing.
Real sci-fi with a good dose of sex. A heady mixture, well written. Please keep going until the story is concluded. Will that be when the Om mothership arrives with a huge fight?
Can't wait for the next instalment...
