"That would be appreciated as our team is not working on Monday and can meet with you unofficially," Sonya advised. "There is a new Anuuran restaurant in the South Market area that I have been meaning to try out. Seems appropriate for your family."

Sonya sent the address. "Let me know when you can get here and we'll go from there."

"We'll come in tonight and stay at our villa at Denders Resort," Hanalei said. "How about we meet at the restaurant for 11:00 hrs?"

"Sounds good," Sonya replied. "I'll bring along the reporter that we will be assigning to you. We'll see if she will be a good fit."

"Good, see you tomorrow then," Hanalei answered.

"Thanks, Sonya," Cynthia spoke.

"Don't thank me yet, Cynthia. I've still to decide if we will be doing this," Sonya explained to her friend as she signed off.

"She comes across as a cynical person but, under her exterior, beats the heart of a hard Media Coordinator who knows how to put the right assets in the right places. You'll get a fair shake from her but you will have to convince her that she needs to support your request," Cynthia told her friends.

"Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I have used up all of my available leave and this is not business related, yet," Fayad stated as he kissed his family. "Time to go to work."

"Oh. Hi, Ululla," Fayad said as he nearly bumped into her at the entrance.

"Off to work, Fayad?" Ululla asked, getting a smile and a nod of acknowledgement from him as he passed her.

"Hi, Ululla. To what do we owe your presence here today?" Hanalei asked as the children and Cats rushed their friend as she dropped her jump bag to greet them.

"I've been kicked off The Wanderer for the next three weeks," Ululla announced. "Raymond is angry at me for not taking my leave but honestly, he knows my work is my life.

"Raymond has heard that you are headed to Denders Resort this week? Any chance of catching a ride? I would rather spend time at Denders than being forced to stay away from my team while staying on the platform," Ululla groused to laughter from the family. Even the Cats seemed to be laughing at her as they chittered at her presence...

"We have a business meeting with media representatives tomorrow in Capital City, Terra, and then the Malton University Music Festival on Thursday and Friday," Hanalei advised their friend. "With construction on the hull taking place over our apartment for the next few weeks, we will stay at Denders until we need to go elsewhere. We are going tonight in fact and yes, you can come with us. We'll even let you stay in our villa while you are there."

"Oh, that will make my stay so much easier. Thank you Hanalei, Junelliya," Ululla said.

"I take it that is all your luggage?" Junelliya asked, pointing at the jump bag.

"Despite all the military kit we have to lug around, the Marines teach you to travel light," Ululla laughingly informed them.

"Doesn't look like there would be much more than a few bikinis in that bag," Sylvie teased.

"I'm headed to Denders, Sylvie. I only need the bottom halves of my bikinis," Ululla quipped to much laughter.

Junelliya had booked an appointment with Heyya for the tenth week medical scan. It showed everything as expected and they got excellent images of the babies.

Alafka was excitedly waiting for them at entrance to their apartment, much to the amusement of the adults. As soon as she could, she called her mother as Junelliya reviewed the results of the scan, including showing off the imagery. Adriné's squeal sounded so similar to that of her daughter that it brought laughter to Hanalei.

Later that afternoon, Fayad took a few minutes off work to say goodbye to his family. He would be moving into one of the VIP suites on Echo Deck for the next three weeks until the scheduled construction finished over their apartment. His family were scheduled to visit family on Anuura after their visit to Terra. The family boarded The Trine and set off for their busy week.

Thank you so much. Just finished reading whole series up to this point. I love space opera. This one is great. Thank you for the gift of your time and effort

Has anyone in TV land heard of this story? With Star Trek suffering from corporate muddying the canon, your universe has the epic qualities of TNG, DS9, Voyager AND the political intrigue of Babylon 5. The opportunity for a spinoff for a ship in a "Firefly" type show exists, perhaps as a trader scratching a living between Alliance and Union worlds just after the war between Terra and the Confederacy. God I wish I had the power and position to pitch this, (hell I wish I could fund it!)

To laughdruid:

This is a science fiction space opera. If you want a human-centric galaxy, then I suggest you stay reading Asimov. The inclusion of alien races was blatantly made plain way back in chapter 1, so that was when you should have jumped ship if you are not interested in such. As for myself, the inclusion of these many disparate races, along with their cultural mores and histories, adds to the overall flavour and texture of the story.

As for myself, I am looking forward to the next Dender’s Summit, the charity concert, and most especially the upcoming internal conflict within the Byandi realm as they come to terms with their treatment of the Gratna
