I'm not sure why I kept reading after the nonsensical plot was disclosed, but it was well written even if was a silly play on meaningless religious myth. I did use my best skimming skills and got through it quickly, but still ended up with a final rating of 2*. Sorry, but silly gets what silly does.
Some very interesting theological views. Overall, an interesting story. Well written.
Mostly good story. But really not a fan of how the women in the story seemed to think the correct behaviour in a relationship was to walk over the men, talking down to them to “put them in their place” & the men were basically universally just shown as weak and easily manipulated.
Her mother made sense. She was the scheming manipulator, the real power behind the scenes.
But she herself actually seemed like a kind, nice person. It really put me off when she, & then his own mum, started acting like that too and basically just made me dislike the women characters, & also then the men for letting themselves be talked down to so disrespectfully like that.
This was cute. Interesting. kind of sad.. my favorite part was the description of Lucifer at the beginning but a good story overall
