It is true that cruel scenes are narrated in the two chapters, but it is also true that survival can be cruel. The part of the romance softens the sad parts and gives an image of repose with the birth of the son of Curt and Amy.

A continuation would be welcome, although not essential, would be very well to know as Curt and Amy raise their son.
