Outstanding! I'll admit to being a bit perturbed with the year-plus jerk in the time frame between #13 and #14, even though it was adequately explained. But all the twists and turns getting to the end made up for that small detail. Overall, the entire story is darn good!!

When I saw this posted today, I cheered, then as I started reading it, I actually had to go back to see if I had missed a chapter!!

You fast forward 4 years?!! What? Why?

As someone that has read, and reread, yes reread, every single word during those long months of waiting for a new chapter, I feel cheated! We are deprived of the whole conversation/confession of Ruth.

Deprived of Lissy and Jason coming to terms, and becoming friends. And most of all, deprived of Lissy finally becoming a bride, and giving birth to Grace.

You skipped out on some very important parts of this story.

I have sent you emails, and commented and voted on all of your work, and I love your writing, but with this ending I get the feeling that you just wanted to wrap this up, be done with it, and walk away.

So, I stand behind what I say in my title...I feel cheated.

I love how you pulled things together. I can't say I agree with the previous person who commented on feeling cheated, though. I thought this chapter was excellent. I don't feel we missed out on anything....it would've been just another wedding, just another birth, just another reconciliation. It probably would've gone at least one more chapter with the usual predictable stuff. So yeah, I liked the jump ahead and how everything was explained and everyone seems to have their happy ending. Outstanding job, Lily. I only wish I could score this story and this chapter higher.

I liked the story but this is the Ending! feels like there should be another two or three chapters. one before this for Grace being born and the barn remake. one for finishing this chapter. and one for Melissa meeting her other new sister.

I happen to think that Evanslily would have made it more than "just another...". I think a writer with her talent would have made it feel like you were a guest at that wedding, a witness to the birth, and a fly on the wall at that reconciliation! So yes, I do feel cheated!

I wanted to 'see' Lissy and Matt profess their love in front of everyone!I wanted to see how Matt reacted the first time he held his daughter! I wanted to see how the farm developed! I wanted all that and so much more because I have spent time following this story, writing to Evanslily, and even offered chocolate to help her with her writiers block!

I do love your writing! I have told you many times how much I love this story, and your others! I love the way you draw the reader in, making us care, making us scream when you leave us hanging! I hope I have not offended you by saying I feel cheated? I mean no offense to you or all your hard work! <br>That was exactly why I <I>didn't</I> do it :) It would've meant spinning the story out, just for the sake of it, really. I'm not too sure what that would've done for the overall plot. Nothing really. It seemed a bit self-indulgent, even though in many ways, I'd have liked to have written those 'missing' chapters. But I don't think it would've been right. The main story had been told. It would've turned into the longest epilogue in history, LOL.</br>

<br>I don't mind admitting that I agonised over how to end this thing. It took almost 4 months for me to figure it out. I realise that the 4 year jump was a bit of a twist in itself, but decided to do it because it seemed to me to be the best way forward. The best way to show what happened to Matt and Lissy, the best way to show what happened with Ruth, the best way to introduce Alex...</br>

I liked the Four year gap, I felt that I wasn't cheated. I agree with michchick98, it would've been borning for me to go through the birth, and another wedding. Although this chapter tied it all together, four years later, it was wonderful. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to read more from you lily.

I Iiked the jump in time and learning what happened to all of them later on. Good to know little Grace and Jack are already inseparable. you had me worried for a second there at the end of chapter 13 that roger would end up being lissy's dad. don't know why i thought it, he's not the type at all, but i'm super happy that i was wrong. really great story, i loved every chapter.

After reading "Caught by the tide" and realising how stunning it was, I REFUSED to begin reading "Back to the Farm" when I noticed it was incomplete. The literary gods must have heard my silent plea, because lo and behold, not many days after an absent of many MANY months, A CHAPTER WAS POSTED!!! I waited with baited breath to see if the conclusion would follow... AND THAT IT DID RIGHT QUICKLY!!! I bided my time nevertheless. I couldn't rush this reading... I am on mid-term break from school. I stocked up on my goodies and sat myself down in front of the pc. My butt is numb... my eyes are bleary... BUT MY GOD WHAT A STORY!!! I laughed!!! I cried!!! I sighed...

Word to the author... I REFUSE to even cast a glance at "Solstice" until I have some definitive word that it is already complete (words like 'coclusion' in the chapter summary give such clues and since I see none...)

that was a great ending. it tied everything together perfectly. i am so happy i finally got to read the ending to this wondeful story. i've been with it since the first couple chapters... so it's been long, but i still remember when i first read it and i couldn't stop reading until, well, i was forced to stop becuz there were no more chapters to read and i had to wait... for months and years between each chapter submission. so after i read what i could of "back to the farm" and i was becoming bored, i started reading "caught with the tide" and it was AWESOME!! and it was also more frequently active. and after that, i just knew "back to the farm" was worth waiting for. i can't wait to read your next series!

I certainly, wholeheartedly agree with the reader that suggested a sequel. This is the most wonderful story I have read on Lit. I would almost dare say that it could become a movie if the right person got their hands on it. Please continue to write and have a prosperous wonderful life.

Your story brought me to tears in several places!! Loved the characters, the plot, the evil witch of an aunt, everything! I thought I had it figured out several times and didn't. It was perfect. I felt like I was reading the script for a made for TV movie, it would be perfect for Lifetime Movie Network don't you think? You have real talent, you will be published and you should send this in as an idea for a movie. I am very serious!! It's better than some out there I have seen.

Great story! I love the way your men so often stand or sit behind their women while holding them comfortably, protecting yet allowing them to face out to the world. It seems a curious freedom partnership their ladies have while still being bound to them. It's just a little something I like. =)

Great story. I read it in peices as you wrote. Had to keep checking back but it was worth the wait. Your story was real. The characters were real. You could feel the blood pumping in their veins, their pain, joy, arrousal, everything.

A couple of twists that I wasn't anticipating, which was fun. Several times I wanted to reach into the computer screen and slap some of the characters to get their attention and yell WAKE UP!. But I guess that just means I was involved in the story. Keep up the good work.

I completely fell in love with this story when I read the first chapter and I've been reading it all day, procrastinating studying for an exam! But it was amazing and I disagree with the person that stated they felt cheated. At first when I realized it was four years later I did feel a bit on edge and unhappy about the time stretch. But by the time I got to the end of it I realized how perfect an ending it was. Any other ending would have been drawn out and I would have honestly gotten a bit bored I think. I also liked seeing the dynamics between Lissy and Matt after four years and another child on the way, they're still so in love! I always wonder if the couples in these stories will make it, and conclusions like this make me extremely happy. Especially all the twists! My heart was racing at the end of each chapter with each new cliffhanger. You should be published, an amazing heartfelt story!

I honestly heard dramatic music when ever something new was revealed. It was fun trying to predict what would happen next, though I was disappointed I didn't figure out Jason...it should have been obvious. This was well written and I liked it, thanks for the wonderful story.

Clever and brilliant from Ch1 to Ch14. All this time on, to attract the range of readers and compliments is not just a mark of praise; but a measure of quality. Even the Hollywood style ending earns it's place. If Uve not covered it already check out 'Solstice' by Eva' not Potter related. :-) In a public note to The author from someone who has written reports of all sorts, poems, and had a go at lyrics (hats off to all song writers) then the only put offs were the delay apologies. Yes there are authors, some of incredible fame, who work best with a have to, but most artist's work suffers under such expectations. Even where the plot was on note paper at the start you have to find life peace to fill out the chapters. Think of it as a subject person of which you are the monarch. The responsibilities for its survival and quality of life, and the power over it's life and life quality. To rush it is to risk destruction, of some sort.. (only in my laughter and screams at the latest Westminster bungle or oversight would such politics momentary appeal) NB In finding such peace All the Best work takes on a life of it's own and as E admitted might not go where u first thought, especially in the finite. So I for one will read the rest of her works. The Welsh stars will be shining brightly. Ps. My story writing has never got beyond idea, sketch, and a few paragraphs!!!

I got so involved in this story I read it from chap. 1 to 14 in one night! I'm writing this at 1230am and I have to say that this is a wonderful story. I have travelled extensively in the UK and could picture the farm in my mind as I was reading - even the flat that Lissa was in!

The portrayal of the characters was well fleshed out and gave one a feeling of realism. I would love another chapter introducing Lissa to her step sisters and getting to know her father (please...???).

from the 1st chapter to the last, this was a great story. prior to this one i read "anything for you" and started reading "caught by the tide" before i'd finished this one. don't suppose you'll have another story ready and waiting by next week? :) i would love to see your stories brought to life on lifetime or lmn.
