I knew as soon as I saw your name as the author that it was going to be a good story. You ALMOST had me, but I knew in the back of my mind that a Patricia story would never have a slut wife as the hero. Oh, and a beautiful ending. Kudos all the way around.

To read an author is to know an author. I was highly suspicious to begin with and then the fuzzy video confirmed it. I didn't pick up on the B.A.M. part so I was expecting hubby to come in and do some serious ass-kickin.

The story line wasnt great, I mean how was Paul going to explain his involvement and the movie to the husband after the so called deed was done?.

The whole thing seemed quickly thrown together and not the type of story you are known to produce.

Thank you for showing that a loving couple trusts each other, and will take care of people that try to wreck their marriage. It's too bad that all the women he hit on didn't file sexual harrassments suits against him. That way, no matter where he went, his income could be deducted from. Of course Paul is lucky to get away just with a kick to the balls. She could have used a knife, or a baseball bat - Paul deserved it.

One of the best things for ME in this tale was the romantic lead up that told the tale of Helen and George getting together. Damn, a bit of PLOT in a revenge story...who'd a thunk it!

Great storytelling with all the clues to what was really going on. I just wish she had given him a little more of a showing of her training before kicking him out!

Loved it as always, Patti. Great twist, although I was sort of expecting something like it since I couldn't imagine a writer of your talent actually following such a cliched plot without making it uniquely your own. Looking forward to your next one ...

This story is up to her regular quality. I liked the set up and the way it ended. She does do some of those twists in her stories which I enjoy. "Busted" was the first one I read and I loved that twist. I was wondering if that fuzzy picture was fuzzy because it was faked.

But to answer her question at the end. Yes I was wondering where she was going with the story for she has done one or three stories that have them cheating, not being tricked so their not exactly the same but close.

And I do have one or two little critisisms. I do mean little. That seemed to be an odd time for it to be the first time he calls her a BAM. Second I didn't catch that his phone call from the hotel room proved anything. If he had been cheating that could have been faked.

But that kick between the legs was a surprise, a nice one for the reader. I was sweating there for a moment. :)

But nice humor in the story too.

Read and see for yourself you can save the agony of repetitios crap by looking ahead at the Hot list -and picking at the reviews. One way or another there are quite a few who stand on top of the rest - like this simple but straigt forward common sense story. Why can't they all weite like that?

Finally a spouse with some common sense! She heard the rumors and asked her spouse about it; instead of jumping into bed with someone else and then learning the truth that they were manipulated and messed everything up! Awesome story!

Finally, we have a real woman, like the ones most of us love and marry. Too smart to be fooled by a snake on the make. And she actually does trust her husband and confide in him, and seek his trust. Most women are too sweet to slap a guy who makes impolite advances: they just shut him down with refusal or ridicule -- some subtle, some not -- some public, some not. and still loved it. You must really be a "BAM" or know one well to know all these terms that actual Marines grew up with for 100 years! Nowadays, woman Marines go through the same bootcamp as the men, and they are tough and honorable...as well as attractive.

That was fun! It fooled me. I believed (but couldn't be 100 percent certain) that somehow the video was a fake. However, knowing how easily women are mislead, I though she believed it and knew what she was going to do would be harmful to their marriage. Therefore, the switch was completely unexpected, but delightful.

Smart as a whip, tough as nails and loyal to boot, what's not to love about BAM. She is undoubtedly the greatest female protagonist ever. I must admit I became a little suspicious when Helen or BAM took the viewing of George's supposed infidelity video so calmly and even more so when, in her taped speech to George, she spoke of the importance of trust extending into relationships with friends. Still, I couldn't help but smile when she really let Paul "have it".

I couldn't help but notice that you haven't submitted anything since late 2010. I certainly hope that this doesn't mean that you have stopped writing because, with the risk of flattery, I think you are absolutely the best female short story writer on this website. I think my favorite thing about this story, besides picturing a woman kicking some loathsome lothario in the ass while ranting "You stupid bastard! Did you really think I was dumb enough to fall for this? To turn on my husband over nothing more than rumors and innuendoes that I'm sure you thought were very clever? I LOVE him, you idiot.", is rereading it and noticing all the clues throughout that Bam was onto Paul the whole time. Patricia was a very skillful writer.

The author juked us poor readers for a little bit anyway that scene with Paul in the hotel was delicious. One of things I learned after two divorces is the made by the author in this story. Communication and honesty is a necessary ingredient to keep couples on que with eachother. Especially when you are swarmed by manipulating rumour mongers. We have them everywhere. Paul was a scorned asshole that needed a confrontation and he got one good one with BAM. Thank you for a fun story that scared me for a little anyway.

However, the second, I must say, it's a nice read.

Sadly, one of the points I particularly liked due to it's rarity is a SMART WOMAN.

Too frequently, the girl characters here...well...the mere sight of an ebony shaft or a strange white willy seems to remove all common sense, love or self respect from their painfully empty heads. It is a wonder they are able to get dressed without help.

So...well done. I enjoyed it. It was well written as well.
