Everything about this story was just so depressing. The characters were all pathetic. Each of them was fatally flawed, and made me ashamed that I was a member of the same species. The truly awful part is that people like this probably actually exist in real life. Sad

The point of view from the woman works very well. In fact, I wish the story had been continued. Great insight as to the heroine's mixed feelings. Very good writing. Too short. Keep writing.
