I almost wondered during the last paragraph that our (twitty) heroine didn't wander down the path and discover a bear costume suit on the trail where nature boy left it as he hurried off.

made me feel young again with all the references to my favorite cartoon mice.

Would’ve been especially funny if the “bear” turned out to be one of Rob’s helpful buddies setting the trap whilst donning a realistic bear suit! 😂
