"We're going to talk about what we did later, okay?" she said, placing a gentle hand on her brother's shoulder.
"I expect nothing less," he replied.
She kissed him quickly on the cheek, looked into his eyes and told him, "I'm going to remember today for the rest of my life, ya know."
Jacob smiled warmly at his sister and said, "We both will. With any luck, we can remind each other of it once in a while, eh?"
She playfully slapped his arm and shoved him toward the front door.
