Thank you so much for this story Thanagar! I love how you care about these characters and I love the story you've created :)

Think you're probably right about the category, would be good for more people to discover this story, maybe Sci-Fi/Fantasy is a better category?

Looking forward to more next year! It's in a great place with a hook for pulling me in for book 2, but also resolution and payoff within book 1

Great story looking forward to the follow up.

Thank you for the story, and thank you for continuing it. To be honest, I wasn't too sure about this one at first, but since you wrote it I was going to check out out. I am glad you added the extra elements, and now having a visible "big bad guy" makes it interesting. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

I really enjoyed this book 1 and I agree the story of ERIN must be told.

Kudos, Art Hagan! What a twisted tale, and so utterly different than Little Packages. Looking forward to Book 2. Happy musing.

Thank you very much for an excellent story, this has been my go to read when away from home and I may have been guilty of not reviewing each chapter but for me it rates 5* all the way through. For me it was in the correct category as I tend to look for a longer read, science fiction is not for me but this was an ideal blend of characters. Can't wait for book 2.

Nicely done, please continue. 5*'s

Spectacular story! I like all the nuance that you filled the story with. Details behind details and potential hooks for later characters or stories. Bravo!

I liked the story, but feel like it is starting to drag out into a 200,000 word never ending rambling. I appreciate you want to wrap up everything but I'm starting to feel like you should have ended it with a HEA after chapter 4 and started an entire new story. I will read the next one but if there are no conclusions and only loose threads being pulled I'll probably move on after that....

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

Absolutely fantastic. Definitely put under sci-fi and it will get a strong response. Can’t wait for book 2!!

Again, thank you for writing this.

First, I delayed my trek by car through LA so I could read this story first. OK, so I 5 was shut down when I got there - all 5 lanes. But you know, I loved every minute of reading this story at 3 am instead of getting on the road.

My reaction to the story was - sad Erin was not in the story. Relieved the suspense from chapter 4 was not a concern. But very happy you are continuing to write. In time, you will find lots of people love this story. Now the owner of the evil company - when you rolled back the curtain - we found a small scared rich man getting poorer every day. I also look forward to seeing his end. It is clear, that a company like that will find miracle cures. Perhaps some of those saved need to help save those who want to help the helpers and the black box? Dont let me influence your story, but it sure seems like those doing the curing need help...

I really enjoyed your original series and was very pleasantly surprised at just how good this one was. I hope you decide to continue telling the various story threads you've set up.

ok, I really liked your story. this is super solid science fiction with pornish undertones that are subtle and on point and even rational. You DO get a little bit stuck in description/explanation mode, and while I don't mind it; in my experience readers tend to tune out. its not a big deal but its a vulnerability in your story telling that you should probably be aware of and control. its part of your style so do NOT hit delete on that just...manage it. I'm glad I'm not writing this story because It would have fully degenerated into sexually deviant porn by now (therianthropic anthropomorphism, pheromonal weirdness, transgenderism and probably some E.S.P thrown in with maybe a side of sexual cyberism and all super hard core pornographic to boot) and I am so glad to that you take interest and some pride in paying attention to the science fiction details and what I would call reality pools (basically my notion that in any story telling there are touchstones that ground a story in plausibility) that you make time for and put effort into. I would applauded but...well you wouldn't hear it so I don't think I will bother. well done

I have reserved comment until now, and initially did not see the tale as all that interesting, writers style is not mine, however that being said, I await new books and chapters. In my humble opinion, very well done to this point.

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

Awesome story, solid sci-fi with about the right amount of sex placed where it supports the plot. Excellently written, structured and edited, made reading a pleasure.

Can't wait for the continuation. Not sure what plans you have for Rosie. She's now one of the main characters but is currently rather one dimensional, so unless she discovers hidden talents and a bit of autonomy, she's going to be difficult to develop. Please don't lose the quality and proportion of sci-fi, it's what makes this story special.

Lit Novellas category really needs sorting out, especially some sort of word count categorisation to weed out the two chapter wonders.

Love it. I often fantasize about having a machine that could rebuild people. This is a great realization of that idea. I do feel a bit sad for what became of Lillian, though.

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

Ok, I think you redeemed yourself here. Looking forward to reading Erin’s journey. Would also like to see what happens to Rosie… do they keep her a bimbo forever, or return some of her intelligence? What about Leah; how did she get to Earth and what happened in Afghanistan?

I can speculate that the clinic might open the door to blackwood.

5 stars for book 1.

Happy new year to you!

Really interesting concept, with boundless plot possibilities. You can take this anywhere- just a ‘simple’ question of getting on with it (stupid comment, but simple was meant to be ironic). Nice writing style, excellent character development. My advice would be not to worry about the sex, it’s almost secondary in a web of deceit so nicely written as this. Can’t wait for the next installments.

Great story, I want to know about Erin as well, but i good twist on Rosie would be to make her into a little Tasmanian Devil if someone threatens her Sir! the Bimbo thing is a short bit of fun but could wear on your last nerve! Exlelant work thought it keeps you wanting to know what is around the next Turn!

This is a great story, too good to be hidden in the category. Can it be moved? It will take off in the SciFy category.

You are a good author, Slingshot and Black Box are really good. Little Packages is wonderful. Time for Paetron?

First,

Very well written. Interesting and fun. Your characters work well, are engaging and I very much want to see what happens next. However, I must admit that the sexual themes aren't ones that I truly vibe with. The romance element is there but feels.... Restrained?

Also, I did not get a feeling of catharsis. I enjoyed your work a great deal and I wish you the best.

Thank you!

Damn it! Not finished! Good! More to come! Please hurry! Lol. And get an editor. Throughout there is obvious need. Places where your computer's word predictor program was probably to blame, other pkaces where your wording could have used agoid 3ditor'sskills to make a passage read more cleanly. Not so often as to discourage me ormost from continuinb to read, but still distracting at the time. And still 5 stars. Please don't make us wait much longer to find out how Erin is rescued and where and/or when the Black Box AI Leah originated and "her" back story. Shades of Heinlein and his sentient computer personalities in a couple of books. I've begun to like her.

Great job on this. I know it's been a long break since the last installment.....but please finish this. One of the best reads on Lit! Adding this to my favorites.

One of the side effects in “Slingshot” winning the Valentine’s Day contest is the uptick in interest in this story. Including the pleas for more.

So, funny thing…Chapter 6 is finished. Has been since last August. I haven't published because I haven't started on Chapter 7. I'm a little blocked.

So I can give you Chapter 6. You'll know what happened to Erin. But it ends on a cliffhanger that will make you want to find me and tied me to a desk.

So, Chapter 6 now and a wait for Chapter 7. Or hold it and hope you get the next section later this year. Let me know.

JuanTwoNoJuanTwoNo3 months ago

Chapter 6 now and tie you to a desk in hopes of getting chapter 7? Done right that could be fun. Let's go with that. Lol. And speaking of the need for an editor, my comment below reeks of the need too. Sorry 'bout that.

Chapter six now and a large dose of Xlax. Please

I note your comments on the history of the story. Terry Pratchett said that characters have their own ideas, and take the story off where they want to go and the author's job is to keep up. So don't agonize about it happening to you.

Re the suggestion you need an editor, (ironic with their own typos), I have failed to get one despite various requests, so it isn't the easy fix they suggest.

Keep up the good work!

gromit1951gromit19512 months ago

I’m a firm believer in accepting the story as written and not comment. It’s your creation not mine. This is a first for me.

Really enjoyed your work and writing style. I was captivated by most of it and couldn’t stop reading. Until the transformation of Lilith into…an oversexed bimbo. It just seemed jarring, compared to the character development of most everyone else. I love good sex in a story like everyone else here (literotica, duh) but for the first time in my life I will use the phrase “gratuitous sex”. It was a really good story, but imho it could have been great.

But preventing you from leaving the house is is not. 😅

Update: February 20, 2024 Well, that was unexpected. When I launched “Slingshot” I said the odds of winning the Valentine’s Day Contest were long. That’s not false modesty….I thought I had no chance. Lit contests with prize money up for grabs tend to bring out the experience...
