Amazing what simple honesty can lead to

I read a few of your early submissions only to be sorely disappointed, I thought that perhaps after so many submissions you may have improved. Silly me, maybe I'll try again in another year or so.

Now that's a quickie if I've ever read one but still good. When I saw you had a new story out I was hoping for one of your crazy over the top good reads, I'll be waiting for your next release patiently.
