The last two lines alone made the entire story worth reading, at least for me.

Why bother sending him out the back? She drank all night, suspects he's been cheating, and sounds like she doesn't care - up to hearing the car. I'd say she wanted the confrontation and wanted to give hubby shit over neglecting her.

Although I know this can stand alone, I'd love to hear more about Brenda. Nice, clean writing - good sympathetic characters. ***** Thanks.
