Just about six months after our second store opened, we were approached by a national chain, who wanted to buy us out. Yes, the offer was more than generous. But our customers would never get the same service they got from Mueller and Son.

We didn't sell out.

As our kids grew, we had a very important discussion. Would they play sports? Yes, but only if they wanted to. Would I encourage our son to play football? No, but if he asked, I would tell him everything that happened to me. The great amount of good, plus the night I thought I might die.

We had several more years before that bridge would have to be crossed.

We just spent our time enjoying them being little kids.

Our sex life was better than ever, not worrying about taking a pill, with dad shooting blanks.

Life is very good at the Mueller household.

I liked the cruise to a happy ending, which as one of the other comments mentioned, is not very common here. IL did want to bring up the fact that Russian Jewish emigres are usually secular because Stalin and his successors did not permit the free practice of Judaism in Russia. if they did conduct themselves as observant Jews they would not have been speaking Hebrew, but they would have spoken Yiddish. Modern Hebrew is a 20th Century construct of the descendants of mid-Eastern Jews and is really only spoken in Israel. The Orthodox, world-wide speak primarily Yiddish. This is certainly true in the US - large sections of New York City which are populated with the Orthodox reverberate with the sound of Yiddish (which, for those interested) is a combination of Germanic, Hebrew and Eastern Europe languages. Liturgical Hebrew is the ancient language of the Torah, the Mishna and the Talmud and of prayer and Modern Hebrew was created (as I noted) by design more recently. I was personally connected to this story since, like our hero/heroine's son, my Hebrew name is Avraham Levi. 4* - might have been a 5*, but I like a little excitement in the middle of my romance stories and this one just cruised to an unimpeded happy ending.

Very sweet. I was scared during the entire time that I was reading it that disaster was just around the corner. I just kept expecting the other shoe to drop. Thanks for the happy ending. They rarely happen in real life which is why I come here to read stories like yours. 3/5

To rdwriter: I truly do not remember making that comment, but I believe you, and maybe you've taken it down. If I did say that, I'm embarrassed, because after reading every story you've posted, here, I think they are fairly well writen and even if the topic isn't my first choice, I wouldn't have any reason to insult you. Please, accept my apology. Jeff

Wonderful. You are a good writer but you can also strive to be good human being. In a story I wrote you made a public comment, "I should grow up" as you did not like how I wrote the story. You are an accomplished writer and I welcome constructive criticism. However, personal insult should not be tolerated and that's part of growing up - not only on someone's ability to write a sex story. Cheers!
