We lay quietly together for a while, Daddy again snuggling beside me, an arm over my belly.
"Dad?" I broke the silence.
"Yes?"
"We can...do this again, right?"
"Of course."
A few seconds ticked by.
"When?" I asked.
Daddy's laugh was warm. "Anytime you want, princess. Anytime you want."

So I did wind up writing part two, obviously.
And of course, there's still room in the tale for at least a part three.
When I'll get to it, I'm not sure. Again, I don't like making promises I may not keep.
