There's no type of story that can summon the onion ninjas to my room than one that features dead or dying kids. You jerk! Hope you keep writing, stories like this hit the right spot in the feels.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Someone should use this story to make a movie.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Absolutely just fantastic. I hope there's more!

Wow my second time reading. I real tear jerker

Your stories often make me cry. I am so sorry that there are not any more. I am going to show them to my wife who thinks they are just porn. I have looked at some of what she is reading and it is pretty familiar but in a longer format. I hope you you are living the happy ending.

ILYAWBILYAWB6 months ago

One of my favorites, i read it several times a year, especially before Christmas. Wish he wrote more like this.

I love a story with a plot and more than just raw sex. I have read several times and always enjoyed it!

FandeborisFandeboris6 months ago

This gets 5 stars on so many levels. First the divorce then the auto accident. Next is his depression and denial. Cathy finally gets him off his duff to start doing odd jobs and finally settling on the neighbor who also had a loss. Then you bring this all together and he saves the day. I fought a lot of dust in the air and even used more than a couple of tissues in reading this story. I am going to read this again and I expect to be fighting the dust in the room. An excellent story, written with talent and emotion.

Take Care

Oh dear, something in my eye!

Speechless2025Speechless20256 months ago

Stunningly beautiful story. Thank you.

AnonymousAnonymous6 months ago

Fandboris said in perfectly.

I gave you a 4 only because the sex scene was, for me, totally over the top. That aside this was a near brilliantly written story. It sqeezed my heart til it hurt.

Thank you!

Great story! Shocking to hear the loss so soon in the story, but loved the turnaround. They did take lemons and made lemonade. Thank you!

AnonymousAnonymous6 months ago

I was a really sweet story. LOVED IT!!! It's nice to read a story with a beginning, middle, and a real honest to goodness ending that you say at the end .... That was awesome! You have a skill. Thanks for sharing it.

Beautiful

Beautiful story, slightly tarnished by Sandy dropping her knickers on Xmas eve, doesn't sit right. Also how was Erica allowed to be on her own all those hours?.

AnonymousAnonymous5 months ago

I truly love this story. It was different and original and I could actually feel their pain and suffering. The part where they actually had sex and the aggression coming to the fore was very stimulating and I actually became aroused. I enjoy the other stories as well but please don’t stop righting more like this. There is enough bad happening in the world today so this stories happy ending is very satisfying.

Beautiful story. I'm a grown man and I'm sitting here crying. 5*

One of my VERY favorites!

I've read this before (once) and faved it then. This time I'm reading it at Christmas time, and it's even more poignant (if that's possible) today (12/19/2023).

This sounds too close to real to be just a story. Thanks for penning this tale of loss followed by hope for the future! ⛈️⛅️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Really emotional but nice. Had me shedding a few tears.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

A cute hallmark story-ish. Clearly thankfully you've never had a loss like that though. I 1000% guarantee that two weeks after having your family wiped from the Earth senselessly like he had, you aren't banging your neighbor into a newly made family. Unless you're a psychopath it's just not gonna happen, trust me. If it had happened the year previously sure. And I know everyone takes loss differently but there is just no way, from looking at a pile of presents never to be delivered, to going to their home and snatching the christmas tree to cleaning out the refrigerator. Going into that home would have taken all day the first time with multiple breakdowns and the only things that would have been accomplished would be done by whomever you brought with you. There would be reminders literally everywhere, and it would be absolutely soul crushing. It took me a little over a month just to walk back into my own home when my world ended and it is still to this day in the top 5 worst days of my life and all 5 are related to one stupid, selfish kid that knew better than everyone around him costing me everything.

Anyway that's my only gripe with the story, again cute and heartwarming story, I gave it a 4 because the MC of the story is most likely a psychopath, at the very least with strong psychopathic tendencies.

Still one of my favorites, TXTT! Thank You for writing!

5 plus stars. This was one of a very few Literotica Stories that provoked a strong emotional response within me. Your skill in depicting your characters' feelings makes "Charity Begins Next Door" such an excellent story.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Very sad at first but after he found his worth it turned out to be a great story and a great ending, I can relate.

Very sad story, 2 families with such tragedy, a whole family killed before Christmas and a suicide 6 months before. So much emotion was written into this story I felt all the pain and sadness. Such a well written story, thanks for sharing.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Predictable

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

I've read probably hundreds of stories on this site. I'm enough of a man to admit I shed a few tears on this emotional roller coaster. You did not need the explicit sex scenes to make this a literotica masterpiece in this category . Well done.. 10 stars...

EgantryEgantry4 months ago

All time favorite … thank you for sharing this story

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

One of the best stories I have ever read here! My only gripe is that I wish it was a longer story, it all progressed rather quickly for me. Amazing nonetheless, and the sex scene was top notch!! JC

AnonymousAnonymous3 months ago

Such a beautiful story, I was a blubbering mess! Probably one of the best stories on Literotica!

Read this multiple times, simply one of the top 5 stories on this site.

SatyrDickSatyrDick3 months ago

[20.01.24]

Nth re-read and just as evocative as the 1st time.

Seeing an 'anonymous' state that the MC "was a psychopath", I got an itch to read ALL 1,463 comments (5 pages at a time) and discovered:

2 'Borings'

2 Complaints about death

3 W.T.F. unintelligible comments

1 '1 Star'

and a handful of '3 stars'

So...out of such a vast quantity of comments - less than a dozen 'Meh' to 'Shite' ones - not bad at all!

I love how it resonates with those who have experienced the loss of a loved one in their lives and how the holidays magnify that feeling plus the sheer volume of 'hard asses', veterans, 'older' readers, and 'real' men who use up an enormous amount of facial tissues.

11/10!!!!!

There are some very inconsiderate authors on this site and TTT is one of them. Making older peoples' eyes water excessively. There should be a law against it. Nevertheless a really good tale, one which I personally have reread a few times. Oh and 5 stars for the excellence

AnonymousAnonymous3 months ago

This is the best. I read it every Christmas. I was late this year. Didn't matter. Love it.

Lovely story.

As a divorced guy who recently lost the live-in grandparent i cared for... this hit me hard.

I'm childless but siblings, my nephew and niece keep me going... and what most people find weird, my ex-wife, her new husband and their 2 beautiful wee daughters.

Seeing good people happy brings joy into my sad life...

I just hope someday I find my Sandy... and am worthy of her like Alex was.

AnonymousAnonymous3 months ago

I loved it! Every part of it.

It was and is redeeming. I cannot thank you enough.

AnonymousAnonymous3 months ago

I loved every line, but one... I know what you were going for, but still, her saying 'shut up' and hitting him, not in character for her, not at that point in their relationship. she could say he should never feel that way, but it was just.. not the right tone, enough to jar me, for a bit, out of the immersion of the rest of a great story.

Exceptional roller coaster of emotions. Definitely a story I will read again. Well written, honest look at real life.

AnonymousAnonymous2 months ago

Yes, a bit of a "Tall Tale" but still a enjoyable story, even if a bit 'bittersweet'. At least for this oldster who has lived long enough to see some loss too. Well done.

I would thank you for such a wonderful story but I'm dehydrated from all the tears! 5 stars!

Wow what a great story. I can't imagine losing two daughters and your ex wife. They all say no parent should suffer the lose of a child. I have 2 daughters as well and can't imagine losing them despite the fact they don't care for me. They are still my children.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 months ago

Should have been a 5 (or 6) , just too bittersweet . Thanx !

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

A well written story with the happy ending I like. Maybe a little too much like a Hallmark movie but I liked it. I thank God my kids are fine, no accidents, serious illness, etc. Children dying before their parents would devestate me. Nice to read a story of life lost but new life found.

A definate 10 it made remember the good part of my lost life. But being Santa for a neibourhood of a couple of hundred local kids and their families helps me deal with it. I get to see the occasional teary eye from the adults and it makes it worthwhile to see people so happy. This year i got a special present back from a lovely 4 year old. A small hand drawn note snuck into my hand by her as l handed her some sweets, lt was drawn by her and was a heart drawn with the message l love you Santa. I had glasses on and it stopped her from seeing my watery eyes.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

Wow. I can’t remember the last time something I read hit me as hard as this has. It’s a truly beautifully told, yet bittersweet story. It got a bit tough to read at a few points, there seemed to be ninjas hiding near me cutting onions. But the ending left me with warmth and happiness. Incredible story. 5/5.

Bloody fantastic story. Broke my heart but smiled at the lovely ending you’ve got a great talent buddy.

mattenwmattenw21 days ago

Strange that people often tend to blame someone in the cosmos for their plight. A Creator created everything and gave everyone the freedom to live. What we humans make of it is all our own business. The Creator does not interfere. So if someone has an accident, it is man-made. If someone commits suicide, it is man-made. We decide, everyone in their own place and no one else. It's funny, when we're doing well, no one thanks the cosmos; when we're bad, everyone complains to the cosmos!

You have told very well the tragedy that human life can be, but you have also shown that we humans are capable of freeing ourselves from this tragedy! 5*!
