I am surprised that the moral character of the protaganist was such a gamechanger for me. The emotions of the main characters drew me into knowing more about their lives. If I had any doubts about my own profile, this resolved that for me. I may be drawn to hot sexy scenes, but that is embellished by the romantic and moral resolution of the story. Thank you. BrianGM

When i first started to read this story I felt that no was devestated, angry Alex was going to hook up with proud, angry Sandy. But because of the good writing and emotional storyline I kept reading.

Only with the "So help me I;ll rape you"

So rape me I'help you" angle can these two express their anger in such a way that they can move on.

Great story development.

Maybe some editors would want you to take the edge off of the sex scene, but it should stand as a contemporary piece.

Hopefully you will submit this story to a mainstream audience. It would be a fitting addition to most any collection.

A wonderfully written story, rarely does a story pull so many strings for me but this one did. Keep writing, real talent is hard to come by and in sort supply. It great to find these gems.

The dark emotions and sorrow and frustrations come out clearly and well. The characters and their responses are realistic and believable. Happy ending not so soppy and whole story is soppy enough.

At first I was taken aback from how much emotion was in this story, but then it hit me. Sometimes, we need that emotion in our lives to make us take a step back and look around. Your story was masterfully crafted and never left me thinking you could have improved on an area.

Sometimes you dont need overly complicated and over the top plots and characters. The beauty and simplicity of this story truely warmed my heart. I loved that it was bittersweet with a lovely semi-romantic finish. One of my favorites, i definetely shed a tear or two :)

I must say this has to be the best story ever posted on Lit. Yes, it is a tragedy, and so much more. It is a Christmas story, a story of a Fathers love, a story of good christian neighborliness, a story of despair, a story of healing, a story of two torn famlies coming together and becoming one. And the great sex, that fit as a natural part of the healing process as far as I am concerned.

I also have two girls, both grown and both living thousands of miles away. The thing is they are living. I can only imagine the pain if they were not.

This was a real emotional roller coaster that had tears in my eyes more than once.

It's Christmas Eve and I'm reading this story for the nth time (It's on my favorites list) and I'm daubing the tears from my eyes from re-reading one of the very best Christmas stories ever. IMHO it's a modern (and adult) version of A Christmas Carol.

Around page 3 I couldn't keep it dry anymore...

In a five-page story you managed to find some errors. However in your short response you made a few yourself. In errors per hundred words, you lose big time.

Realtor is spelled with a capital R. Look it up.

And what the hell is a 'beneficary'? Perhaps you meant beneficiary.

Personally, I loved the story. I've read it several times and never fail to choke up. It's a Lit classic. If you really are trying to 'help' you might try emailing your finds to the author. But I guess that wouldn't feed your pathetic ego.

I’m sure the author appreciates your effort in taking time to spell out the errors. I know I do when someone points mistakes out to me. (Not being a smart ass here) but maybe you should check very carefully when you make corrections. I didn’t take time to look back through 5 pages to find how mommy’s is used, but if it referred to one woman mommy’s is correct, while if speaking of two the most accepted way is mommies’ though I’ve seen some grammar guides that recommend rewriting the sentence to get around the problem.

Loved this story.Read it fifth or sixth time.Quite Emotional story.It is really a good read there may be some grammatical errors as Anonymous above stated but i don't care because i really like this story.

This is by far the best story I have read any where. It is far more than a sex story. It is a love story that could be a true story. After losing my wife of 46 years and finding someone to love, I thought my story was great but this one beats it. Thanks for writing it.
