Leave that crap out unless the character is shown to have that view, and it's just them saying it. If it's part of the story it might fit, but here it sounds like a public service announcement from the author...

I enjoyed this and chuckled at the imagery - I was entertained,

truly a chaotic event. Bill left himself open on all sides and they piled on him. His wife was especially creative in her actions considering she had pratically no time to consult with the other hens.

Well, it kinda worked for Dante Alighieri. At least given a few centuries after blatently insulting every politician and other ‘movers & shakers’ anywhere near him. Hitler and Stalin are fair game. Only a miniscule number of Ruskies ever liked Josef, and even miniscular like him now ... and they are smart enough to keep their mouths shut about that!

On the other hand, everyone likes (or envys) Superman. Trouble is that, like omnipotent (and non-remorseful) Hubby in this tale, he is presented as a guy who can do (and get away with) anything! That leads to zero drama and the same amount of surprises, which quickly leads to dull reading.

Recommendations ...

a) Don’t write about bullet-proof people, and

b) save political crap for Letters to the Editor of your primo mackeral-wrapper.
