She had changed him, alright. Into another of whatever she was supposed to be. So she very likely had been a transformed human herself, spreading one of the many magical transmutation curses. He felt surprisingly okay with it. His old life had been over. Even if he hadn't been about to die, his homeland had been conquered, and the wizards had no qualms using defeated enemies as fodder for their experiments.
The snow woman had given him a new lease on life, in exchange for a night of passion. Probably something else, too, but he'd deal with further complications when and if they arose. For now, it was time to get acclimated to his second chance. He turned his gaze towards the ice-peaked mountains beyond the forest, and strode easily through the snow.
