This is the best thing I've ever read on Lit. You have totally captured the wonderful love and feelings of a long-time married couple, and expressed them all so well. This is how we feel, now that we're older, and it's marvelous to read what you have expressed in words. It's difficult to find loving expressions of married partners here on Lit, seems like almost everyone writing on here is always after "more" than a marriage seems to offer. But, your story puts the lie to that notion. Like in your story, my wife and I are so happy, so satisfied, and so grateful. Especially on "Sunday mornings" ! People, I urge you, figure out what you are really after. Though it may not be that easy to get to, the deep satisfaction of a loving partnership cannot be beat, and as we get older, we realize it more and more, and are ever more grateful.
