"Yeah, a date with my almost girlfriend," Maggie beamed back. We were those people. My cheeks would probably be hurting soon but I didn't care. "Does that sound ok?"
"Well, yes. Except you know my legs are still a little wobbly?"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah," I said, trying to mask my smile. "And showers can be dangerous. Slippery. I think I might need some company. You know, for safety reasons."
Maggie snickered. "I think that could be arranged." She pushed my sex hair out of my face and kissed me. "I love you," she said when she pulled away.
"I love you, too," I replied softly.
And then she took my hand and led me to the shower where we proved that love to each other until the water ran cold.

I haven't read many stories about lesbian relationships but the way you wrote that was very true and loving, even the raunchy bits. Romance from wherever is beautiful.
