Synopsis:

After a long gruelling battle with the Epsilon Consortium, Anon managed to narrowly flee the rapidly deteriorating spaceship that he had served on, only to find himself trapped in an escape pod alongside a young woman. How can they survive, when the pod's survival system are only designed for single occupancy?

About:

This story takes a slower and gradual approach. If you are only interested in the explicit parts, you might want to jump to chapter 2 or even wait for chapter 3 (I will start posting more chapters here, if there is enough interest.)

Kinks:

following kinks will not be in part 1 yet, but appear in later chapters: reluctance, non-consent / dub-con, unintended edging, accidental sex, unwanted arousal, sleeping / unconsciousness, accidental bondage

Not in this series:

spanking, dirty talk, intentional infliction of pain, intentional bondage, traditional dom/sub relationships, humiliation

Chapter 01 - Escape

So is this the end? Anon dashed through the winding hallways of the starship, feeling it quake and shudder around him. All he could see were flickering lights and passing shadows; it seemed as though anything stable was being ripped from his grasp in an instant of time. He felt a chill, like something deep inside of him knew that this could be it--this could be his last run.

He was rushing towards the escape pods, with people all around him screaming. Together, they had been attempting to stand up against the almost insurmountable power of the Epsilon Consortium. It was a battle they weren't meant to win, and it seemed hopeless to them all. But even so, they had refused to give up and fight until their dying breath. And now that day had come; it was time for their last stand--time for them to run away before it was too late.

Anon had been staying in the machine room until the very last second, desperately attempting to fix and keep their spaceship running. His great friend and colleague had passed away by his side while others had abandoned much earlier. He knew there was a huge possibility that all of the escape pods were already gone or destroyed by this point.

As he inched closer and closer to the escape pod launch pads, he could hear footsteps of other people running behind him. His heart sank as he saw flames raging close to the last few pods. metal beams and panels had collapsed, creating a barricade in front of the launching pads making it difficult for anyone escaping. He started to panic, not believing what was happening before him. The sound of screeching metal only added to his fear as he looked around in desperation for a way out.

Anon's body ached with exhaustion from the day's battle, but he mustered up the last of his strength and began to clear away the debris that was blocking the escape pods. As more and more of his crew-mates began helping him, they eventually freed a few of them. He insisted that all of the youngest members get into a pod as soon as they could before it was too late. With every second that passed by, he knew they were running out of time.

The ship was in serious danger, with fire and explosions quickly approaching. With a sense of urgency, they worked tirelessly until everyone had been safely evacuated into the available escape pods. Anon gave a sigh of relief as he watched the last crew member board before turning his attention to his own escape plan. He spotted two pods remaining and without pause ran towards it, prepared to embark on his own journey away from certain destruction. Each step seemed to take an eternity but eventually he reached it and leapt inside.

These escape pods were not a sure thing when it came to survival. The Epsilonian battleships and fighters made it their mission to track them down and destroy them with unparalleled efficiency. There was also the very real danger they would be consumed by the debris of decimated vessels that peppered the lonely darkness of space.

Even if they managed to remain unscathed, there was the slight chance that they would never be found by anyone. The pods themselves were limited in their engine power and could not fly quickly enough to reach inhabited planets or friendly ships. Anon had heard stories of astronauts being stranded in escape pods for up to two years or more, dependant on the grace of fate and luck. It was simply a waiting game that these individuals had no control over; with only a vague idea when -- and if -- they would ever be rescued.

Luckily the escape pods were equipped with long lasting life support systems, and a cryogenic chamber which could place the passenger in an induced deep sleep. This would allow them to pass through time unconscious, without becoming aware of how much had passed. In theory they could remain in this state for over 10 years, before being woken up by a rescuer who had come to their aid.

As Anon jumped into his pod, he quickly removed his pants and jacket with a sense of urgency. He knew that the life support system could only be attached to the body if it was free from any form of clothing. There was also no room to move around in the pod, and removing his clothes after he had entered would have been almost impossible.

As the lid of his capsule was being lowered, he watched in horror as the space-ship disintegrated right in front of him. The whole metal structure buckled and folded, one of its walls crashing open to reveal the tremendous expanse beyond it. Everything that wasn't bolted down got sucked up into the airless vacuum: loose bits of metals, sparks and flames which lit up like a firework against the black night sky.

That was when he caught sight of a young woman making her way into the launch pads hall. Her clothes were tattered and she had quite a few cuts and bruises across her body and face; it was obvious she was in distress, searching frantically for a way out. And then suddenly, they both realised that the last remaining escape pod was being pulled away through the hole in the wall of metal.

Anon knew that unless he managed to get out of his pod, there would be no way for her to escape. Gritting his teeth, he gathered up every last ounce of strength from within him and pushed against the self-closing lid with every fiber of his being. The metal creaked and groaned in protest as he fought against it, but thankfully he managed to keep it open - just long enough for her to make her way towards him.

He was struggling with an impossible choice, if he got out of the pod, the lid would swing shut immediately afterwards, leaving him and her stranded. The only way to keep it open was for him to remain within. He felt a crippling sense of horror; on the one hand, if he allowed the lid to close then he could save himself but the girl would be doomed. On the other hand, if he kept it open then neither of them would survive. It seemed like a cruel twist of fate and he knew that either way he couldn't save them both.

Reaching the pod, Anon could see pure terror in her eyes. She didn't want to die here. He held up the tight opening and with a supreme effort, she managed to crawl into the pod with him. Even though Anon was sure that this wasn't an option - he knew these pods were designed for single occupancy only.

The life support systems and interior space of the escape pod had been precisely configured and were incredibly cramped, but he wasn't prepared to leave her out there in the inferno. She held tightly to him as he reluctantly released his grip on the lid, allowing it to close with a hiss.

But the lid was being stopped from closing because of the girl's body; the two of them were too big for it to close. Anon frantically tugged at the door, trying to get them inside. The girl noticed what was happening, and held on to Anon as tightly as she could in a desperate effort to make herself smaller and reduce her size.

With a final, determined tug Anon managed to get the lid of the escape pod shut. They had somehow managed to squeeze themselves inside. The engine of the launch pad suddenly roared to life, and in what felt like an instant they were shot off into space. Anon watched in horror as their spaceship exploded around them, fragments flying rapidly past them as they sped further and further away from danger.

Chapter 2 - Life Support

Suddenly, they are both jolted around violently in the escape pod, it's clear that something must have struck them. The pod is spinning out of control and Anon quickly loses his consciousness as a result. Fortunately, the small engines on the escape pod are able to kick into action to stabilize their position after a few tense seconds.

Through the small porthole, Anon can see that the debris surrounding them is starting to dissipate. He feels a sense of relief wash over him, even though he knows that their fight for survival has only just begun.

It's the first time he can check on the girl's condition and notices that she has been knocked unconscious too, but still hasn't gained consciousness. There is some blood on her head, probably from being jostled around when the escape pod was violently thrown off course.

He wished he could further assess her condition and attend to her wounds, but the miniscule confines of the escape pod left no room to move. It was heartbreaking for him;

But there was no time to think, the computer systems of the escape pod had already activated and begun to notify him that the life support systems were now being engaged. Anon was a mechanic on board their spaceship and had worked on these pods numerous times as part of their routine maintenance. He knew that there was no oxygen to breathe, instead oxygen would be delivered directly into the passenger's bloodstream intravenously. This technology was the most efficient and energy saving way for providing essential oxygen needed. The only way the pods could last and provide life for years.

The medical system was incredibly advanced, making the procedure almost unnoticeable. An oxygen line was inserted into his body, and it immediately started to draw blood out of his veins, mix it with oxygen, then return it back to him. The new mixture of air-enriched blood, strengthening him from the inside. He could feel himself becoming more alert and invigorated with every passing moment.

He knew that this must mean that the remaining oxygen in the air inside the pod was diminishing rapidly, and with only one intravenous oxygen line inside, his thoughts raced as to how he could prevent the girl from suffocating. The pod was small, containing only basic supplies necessary for survival. There were no inhalers or other devices to help deliver additional oxygen to her.

She was still lying unconscious, squeezed close to his body. He had to find a way to save her, and fast, before it was too late and she succumbed whilst being pressed against him. His mind raced with frantic ideas of what he could do.

Time felt like it was standing still in this moment of sheer panic. Then he heard her struggling for breath.

Grasping at straws, he remembered first aid techniques and knew that he had to act fast. With trembling hands, he pulled her head to tilt back slightly. Taking a deep breath, he placed his mouth over hers and began blowing air into her lungs in an attempt to give her the oxygen that she so desperately needed.

He could feel his breath slowly matching hers. She was regaining a sense of calm as he worked to keep an even, steady tempo. It felt like he had found a way to save her for the moment - as long as he kept going, they would both be okay. He never imagined it would come down to something like this; that his own respiration would become so essential in the life of another human being.

Anon kept breathing air into her in a steady rhythm. He was becoming more accustomed to the situation and couldn't help but feel the warmth of her soft lips against his each time he put his own on hers and delivered a breath. A faint bloddied taste would linger, although he couldn't distinguish whether it was coming from him or from her. It was an awkward sensation, having to place his lips so gently onto hers, yet it felt oddly comforting too.

He started to become aware of her body pressed firmly against his. The escape was so narrow and cone shaped, not even giving her enough space to extend her legs. Instead she had been forced to fold them around him, her buttocks rubbing against his hips and their midsection aligned. It seemed almost as if they were one whole being in that moment; embraced in the close quarters of the escape pod transported by a sense of fate that brought them together in such an intimate way.

He must have forced air into her lungs for several excruciating minutes until finally, the girl slowly regained consciousness. Her eyes began moving beneath her tightly shut eyelids and Anon watched with anticipation, hoping for a sign of life from her. As a few moments more went by, the girl's body seemed to be coming back to life.

Just when he pressed his lips onto hers to blow life back into her lungs, she suddenly opened her eyes; her gaze radiating shock. He can only imagine the confusion and fear that must be coursing through her veins after such a narrow escape from an exploding spaceship, only for her to be awoken by a stranger pressing his mouth onto hers. This must have been more than just a bit disorienting for the young woman.

The incredulity on her face was so clear that it almost felt tangible, and she immediately jerked her head backwards to get away from him. However, she could only hit the wall of the capsule behind her, with no way to move further away from him. She was completely trapped.

Anon could also only move away slightly, leaving just enough space for a sliver of air between them as they both tilted their heads and gazed at each other for the first time.

An uncomfortable closeness, but there was something so revealing in looking at another person from up close like this; it could make you feel so exposed and vulnerable.

The girl's expression shifted from confusion to anger as she searched for the words to express her thoughts. But before she could form any phrase, she suddenly realised that she couldn't breathe. A new wave of panic washed over her face as desperation flooded through her and she started grasping for air desperately.

Anon attempted to explain, as clear and short as possible, that the only way she could stay alive was if he breathed oxygen into her himself. He didn't know if she comprehended what he was saying, as his words only seemed to further her anxiety and escalating panic. In order to get through to her, he grabbed hold of her head between his hands and brought his lips down on hers once again. She tried to push him away but he held firm; with concentrated force he blew a mouthful of air into her lungs

And after a few moments, she finally began to comprehend the gravity of her present state; he wasn't hurting her, but rather attempting to save her life. She could feel her body slowly relaxing at his touch as he breathed life back into her. Her lips and throat opened up to allow the much-needed air, restoring some of the energy that had been drained from her prior.

Anon felt an immense sense of power having such a fragile human being clinging to his lips, her survival wholly dependent on his decision. He was literally in possession of her life in that very moment, and the weight of that realization was not lost on him.

Hi Anonymous, I agree the chapters are very short. I originally wrote this story as a webnovel with regular updates of 1000 - 1500 words each. It was just easiest for me to keep that structure here.

Also the "series" function of Literotica is somehow stuck on "pending moderation" for this story. So if you want to read the other parts / chapters, you would need to go to my profile to find those chapters.

Okay story not sure why parts are labelled as two chapters very short even for one......

Cool story and scenario!

I assume the Anon thing is supposed to let the reader self-insert more easily, but honestly it makes suspension of disbelief harder. There's also a bit of switching between past and present tense that's distracting.

Enjoyed it overall and excited to find out what happens next!
