...Lee Marvin's throaty voice croaking out: "I was born under a fucked-up star..." Excellent, SWP. I may be talking out of my rear-end but I think this is your best Max tale yet. As they say in the theatre: "Beat that!" Five stars and it deserves more.

Splendid blend of suspense, outrageous sex and violence — Max perfect. Will miss Lily; so intriguing, so erotic.

Much as I love these stories, it’s getting difficult to watch Max self destruct over and over and over…and Mandy dying broke my heart and Max surely didn’t need that, too. If she makes it to 50, I’ll be amazed. Not sure which addiction is worse- the booze or the women. Just hope she finds some peace of mind first.
