Hey there, thanks for reading!
As you may have guessed, this is the sequel to my most popular story, Happy Birthday, so if you haven't read that yet, go check it out!
So, I was thinking about continuing this one, a little while back, and as I went back over it, I realized two things. One, the characters were all embarrassingly stereotypical. Two, I had nowhere to go with the plot. I mean, I could have gone places and dragged the story along, but I couldn't help but feel like it would have been sorta like a TV show that's gone on for too long, it'd be just sorta aimless and unsatisfying, and I'd end up throwing in more and more characters to keep things fresh and then it would end up this huge, bloated mess...
Anyways, I hope you like what I've got so far, and you can look forward to much more! As always, if you like what you see, check out my Patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/AdmiralSquish ) for early access to new stuff and some patron-exclusive goodies! Enjoy!
I’d be much more interested if it weren’t for your tendency to start a new project, then drop it and do four others instead, and never actually get much done on any of them.
Ouch!
I mean, you're right, I definitely have a bad habit of starting stuff and then never following up. ADD is a bitch sometimes. Mostly, those stories get written as personal projects, squeezed between commissions, and I only rarely have time to write them. Too many ideas, not nearly enough time.
However, this one IS definitely continuing! In fact, you can read the next chapter of it on my patreon right now!
Hey Mr. Squish.
I absolutely love your writing style, and the mark of good writing for me is if, when I read it, I can imagine it being a comic book script. How well are things/people/places described? Could I draw it from the text?
Yes! I can! And I'd love to. I can't promise, but I really think this would be fantastic, and if it's good enough *fingers crossed*, it may motivate you to continue the story.
Thanks for doing what you do!
I would be flattered if you felt inspired to draw a comic based on anything of mine! The greatest compliment one artist can give another is to say 'you inspired me'. As long as there's some form of credit given, feel free to make anything you'd like!
