Why don't you take a break? Arlene says she's offered, but you never take her up on it. Dax is dying to take you on a honeymoon from what I hear."

"Honeymooning with Dax is what got me here in the first place. I'll rest at some point, but I can't leave them right now when they're so little. They need me June."

"You're no good to them all keeled over to the side, we talked about this." June admonishes.

"If I have to do it myself, you are going to take a break lady. Do I need to call and remind you to eat? Passing out because you forgot to eat is unacceptable!"

Lou frowns and huffs. "June, you bitch me out like you've been waiting years to do it."

June smiles mischievously. "I most certainly have been, and now you can't do a damned thing about it. Seriously though, promise me? Do I need to talk to Dax?"

I walk into the kitchen. "No you don't. I've heard you and I agree with every word."

"Ever the fucking stalker," says Lulu, plainly irritated as she looks at me.

"Ms. June, I owe you. I'm thinking you need a new car, maybe I'll even throw in basketball camp for the big man, if you've convinced my bride here to take a break with me, I'll even pay the mortgage."

Lou scoffs. "You're both high. I breast feed twins. How in the hell am I supposed to take that show on the road?"

"Are you going to take a break or do I have to set June on you again?"

Lou huffs. "Ok, fine. I'll try."

She's grumbling under her breath in Spanish. June responds in kind. Lou draws back looking at her.

"Yeah, what she said." I chime in.

June and I smile and nod to each other as Lou looks on in annoyance.

"No more of your back talk woman. Finish eating and get your little self outside." Giving her a kiss and a pinch.

I turn and impulsively give a good solid church hug to June.

"Ms. June you are most welcome here anytime, even if Riley is your husband."

I like her girlish giggle.

"You're wrong about one thing though; I've seen Riley look at you the way I look at my Lou, on more than one occasion too. I am completely serious about that offer."

"I may take you up on the car but I can't let you do the mortgage, Riley needs a sense of purpose."

"It's a date." I give her a little jostle and she smiles softly. Lou looks at the ceiling, and sighs before biting into an olive.

"A date! Keep your paws off my wife!" Riley booms, coming into the kitchen with a laughing Matt.

"Man gets filthy rich and tries to get a goddamned harem going. I'm watching you Wilde."

He takes his wife and tucks her under his arm and pats her. "You stay right here."

I wink at Lulu' who's quietly taking it all in, enjoying herself. This is what's missing. If she won't go out, I'll have to start bringing the entertainment to her. I think I know just what to do.

"What's that I heard about a mortgage?" Riley asks.

"Dax offered, but I said you needed a sense of purpose. But we have a date to buy me a car."

She smiles up at him.

He frowns down at her.

"Fine then. Have your car, but for the record you should never turn down free money.

The next time someone offers to pay the mortgage, accept!" He shakes his head admonishingly.

I consider it money well spent. My baby is coming away with me.

"We can change anything you want I just wanted to do this for you, for us. I hope you like it. His voice quavered with excited emotion."

They turned a corner. And she looked across the street to where he was pointing.

"Happy birthday bébé."

A dramatic five-story Park Slope, Brooklyn brownstone. The house was huge. The dwelling seemed to wrap around the corner and in fact be comprised of two separte places. Indeed, there were two double front doors. An entrance facing each street.

This was a tax foreclosure, that Harry of all people tipped him off about over beers. After purchasing the place for a steal, Dax spent months overseeing every aspect of the brownstone's transformation from an outdatedly dreary residence, with graying floors and unremarkable walls, into a somewhat modernly accessorized yet sumptuous home that would hopefully feel immediately familiar to her.

For Dax, the effort he spent in pulling it off was as satisfying as the result — the real goal was having it look like something his Lulu would choose herself.

WALKING into the home, one is greeted by a main salon/living area that blends eclectic modernism with a bit of Old World Paris. The curved and carved plaster ceilings that repeat almost continuously through the space, the grey walls and floor to ceiling sheer yellow silk drapes. It's feminine without being sweet, busy but not forced. The room is gloriously sunny, thanks to five eight-foot-high, west-facing windows.

The cozy softness of the room's creamy gray walls, the whitish oak herringbone parquet floors — which after much deliberation, were sealed — a complimentary dark yellow side table that contrasted against a massive, perimeter spanning, dark green velvet couch.

From her iPad design boards and wish lists, Dax had pilfered to his heart's content. He also got an interior designer to help him source furnishings and fixtures. But in the main, the new surroundings spoke to Dax's distinct and unexpected genius for color and texture, but also to his exacting and precise eye, one trained over the many months of living with Lulu and developing an understanding of how she spotlights spaces with only the most centrally essential elements.

Thus, our new home was conceived around a few key pieces: The kitchen's dramatic dark-gray cabinetry and custom-made brass counter complements the room's dominant structure, a sweeping island topped by a three-inch-thick expanse of honed marble that once decorated a New Orleans courthouse. Dax had it painstakingly joined to a matching slab of giant white birch. Likewise, the midcentury Italian light fixture that hangs over the island — featuring hundreds of Murano glass polyhedrons.

The luxurious layout went on and on. There was a nursery, nine en-suite guest rooms, a stocked whiskey/wine cellar. A humidor room, a library. And three well-appointed fully equipped guest apartments.

Overlooking an enclosed and spacious back yard - is our private lair. Located at the back of the second floor, the space while warm and inviting, is particularly uncompromising, from the white oak-paneled walls, to the double paned lead glass floor to ceiling windows, to the antique crystal chandelier, to the solidly carved Rosewood bed draped with a spread of dark sable fur, an effortlessly grand embellishment.

"I adore it when the bed is the rooms' focal point." Remarked Lou with excitement.

Clearly, she loves the bed. That's a start in the right direction already.

"I was a little shocked at the bed he chose, not to mention that spread, it's outrageously sexy. I start to see why and how you have twins." Jacinta said, grinning wryly.

The fireplaces were a concern with the babies, but otherwise it was indeed the home of her dreams.

Lulu was struck speechless and except for commenting on the bedroom, quiet for the duration of the tour.

"I'm dying here baby. Say something?" Dax asked. His voice tinged with more than a bit of nerves.

She turned to him with a wonderfully stunned expression, and simply jumped into his arms with a laugh and a shout. At which point the designer smiled and left the room, closing the door behind her.

"We live here?"

"We do, as soon as you say so. We are going to put this theory of yours to the test that this Brooklyn is indeed family friendly."

"Raise the children here? But what about the family? What about my place? I mean I know yours has been co-opted by Junie and MM. And the dog? Byte is used to running free in the woods - I don't know about him in the big city. Not to mention Zora, those two love each other. And the babies, I thought we just agreed I would have more free time. We cannot just uproot everything."

A million excuses and questions. Did she not mean it when she said she would move back in a shot if she could afford it?

"You don't like it?"

"Like it? I fucking love it! "

She clapped a hand over her mouth. Lou was actively working on trying to curse so much.

"But I mean Jesus Dax! The upkeep and taxes alone on this place will eat us alive!"

"We have Lenny and myself for upkeep." I am still amazed Eddie was able to get him to keep all this work a secret. She must be powerfully persuasive. I chuckle at the thought.

"Bébé, I have all of that well in hand. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. With planning anything and everything is possible.

If I was able to run naval logistics for 5 years or so I think I can manage moving the four of us around. We don't have to live here full-time. Unless you want to. This is just our place in the city you love best."

I am working on a place in the country as well, but that discussion can wait.

"So tell me now. If you don't like it we will send the designer on her way with a nice check and put this place up for sale. Ive already had offers and the paint is still damp in spots."

Dax was dying for her to say yes. He had plans. Immediate plans contingent on her.

In lieu of answering she called the desinger back to the rooom and began discussing further décor ideas. Dax gave an accomplished sigh and leaned back to relax against the sofa.

**************************

It had been in the interior designers mind to despise on sight, the wife of this magnificent man. But in talking to Lou or Lulu as Mr. Wilde called her, she found her charmingly laid back, likeable, confident yet wholly approachable. Especially in comparison to her reserved and somewhat formal husband.

That Jacinta was able to converse with her in her native Portuguese helped immensely too.

Their body language spoke volumes, as throughout the consultation Lou kept turning her head to gaze adoringly at him.

And his head inclined towards her as well, in his desire to connect and be seen as a couple answering questions and not have it be just his story.

She jumps in and answers my very next question, but again turns to check with him as I make more and more notes. Her taste is superb.

He puffs his cheeks, takes a breath and says: "I really thought I had upped my game."

"Baby, you did perfectly well, just a few small additions and tweaks here and there are all that's needed to polish it off. This is the best birthday present I have ever gotten. You keep upping the ante every year, man." She kissed the back of his hand.

As he laughed and talked about the process of bringing the place to life, Lou took his hand in hers and smiled her approval.

You can always tell the ones who are not only in love but in sync with each other.

Their power is a shared thing and I just love the give and take of their exchange, how they check in with each other. A very nice dance and lovely to see.

Almost enough to restore my faith in romance.

Mr. Wilde and I finished the plans and made arrangements for them to begin occupying the space in four days. His wife worked an absolute miracle as far as his demeanor, he is now friendly and smiling.

I do hope I can get everything ready in time for his surprise party for her. He is paying me an extra bonus to plan and execute the event, and hinting at future work if I can pull this off as they have a large family and there will be more events to plan.

I really have to think of a way to thank Harry for recommending me. The fees and commissions from this the house alone are enough to set me up and sustain me in comfort for a year or more, I can complete the showroom. I will be able to do so much good for my family back home.

The designers wayward thoughts ran on and on as she waved a distractedly happy goodbye to her clients.

**********************

My dear husband had us quickly installed in our new digs. He has settled in and is contentedly acclimating to life here. Has found his favorite neighborhood spot, is working on yet another project, signed up for the marathon and his navy buddy Virgil lives here.

As happy as I have ever seen him.

I think the fact that we have resumed our sex life has a lot to do with it. He has us on a schedule and as soon as the children are down at 7pm, he is on me in a flash with a vengeance.

The look on his face last night was too funny.

************************

Lulu squeezed her pussy around his dick and giggled at the look of shocked awe on his face.

The laughing stopped though as Dax drove himself into her compulsively. The sounds of whimpered pants, the slick wet noise of their bodies slapping together and the smell of their combined sex in the air spun him quickly out of control.

For the first time in a long time he found himself unable to hold out and wait for Lou. He came with a shout and collapsed against her.

Slowly catching his breath, he pressed his forehead to hers.

"Oh God, Lulu. Baby I am sorry. I need to build my tolerance up again."

She simply kissed him and smiled in response.

"Jesus baby, look at you."

His deep voice was full of hushed reverence as he looked at his wife for long moments. The pupils of his eyes were completely blown as he visually took in as much of her as he could.

"Dax."

Heat suffused her body as she blushed all over, her nipples peaking instantly in embarassed arousal. A single small pearl of milk appeared and Dax gently lapped it away.

"Words are not enough."

Dax floundered trying to express himself. Unable to go on, he kissed her again and again.

"So . . . You still like doing things to me." She asked shyly, biting her lip.

I would dearly love to do all mannger of things to her, with her. But she is the mother of my children now. My adored and beloved wife.

Even though I loved tearing into her about last year this time it doesn't escape me that she was pregnant when I did that to her. Given what a hard time she has had with conception it is a wonder I didn't cause her further harm. Granted, neither of us knew it at the time, but when I think of it, I feel wrong. I have been careful in my loving of her ever since.

I do yearn daily to be buried in her plump little ass again. She took pains to make our wedding night a particularly memorable one.

Someone was supposed to be napping, and instead went into the bathroom and gave herself a very thorough anal lavage she later confessed.

Lou said it was for celebratory occasions only though. She loved it, we both did and were as loud as we have ever been. There is no telling what Max heard.

The question is still hanging in the air. The sight of her - the hair all over her head, dewy toffee skin glowing and hot was bringing me back to life.

Watching her carefully, there seems to be a slight trepidation a tentative something in her eyes. I know she is feeling vulnerable these days and I don't want to exploit that.

"We don't have to."

Her eyes snapped to mine.

"No, I want to. Just wondering if we'll need a safe word."

So eagerly curious and willing to please. I love teaching her.

"Baby, I don't want to wear you out, by taking too much from you."

"Do it." Said breathlessly as she throbbed around me, wetly squirming against me in an attempt to get closer.

"You have fantasies Lou?"

In answer her hands are moving all over me, encouraging me to move with her. Her clit is electric as she comes again and again grinding herself against me in a frenzy. Head thrown back, arms flung out as she arches off the bed towards me.

"More Dax, I want more. Take me Dax. Take it. Take it all" Caught up in the passion of the moment, she has no real idea what's behind the door she is attempting to open.

I realize I'm coming to this series very late (and it appears you haven't submitted anything for nearly 4 years, likely because of life's difficulties), but it finally strikes me as quite odd that Lulu is "fluent" in all these languages, but we see no proof of the same--except for when she orders in French while in Mauritius--but no proof of her Spanish nor Portuguese skills. I don't know why it finally hit me, but there's even very little supporting evidence as to why she would know any significant amount of Spanish at all: I could have seen it (given her heritage and the background you provided) that she would have been fluent in French, Dutch, Haitian Creole and perhaps Brazilian Portuguese. Reason why is you never tie her ancestry to Spain nor any former Spanish possessions nor Spanish-speaking countries (it would have logical to have tied her to some place like Puerto Rico, Cuba, or the Dominican Republic since they host many large population of Black Spanish speakers. It's a serious enough oversight that I'm shocked no other commenter ever said something to that effect.

Interesting to see how the twins tamed Lulu in some ways, although she kept the fire that matters while toasted Dave for violating his NDA and non-compete; that was PRICELESS. 4

2nd time...still soooo good!

I’m reading this series for the 2nd time and I love it! The way you write is so involving; I can almost touch, smell & see. I want to live with as much passion and conviction as these characters especially Lou! And I want Dax! There has to be a real life Dax, there just has to be! *sigh*

Beautiful!

I can't even put into words how thrilled I am to be reading about married Dax & Lulu! I adored this duo before, and I adore them even more now! Love, marriage and babies has really softened Lulu without weakening her at all. As much as she put up a front about not wanting love and commitment and all the rest of it, those things really do suit her.

Their happiness is so beautiful.

Dax is such an amazing husband, and although he has been away from the babies for a little while, I have no doubt that he is an amazing father too. I didn't expect Lulu to be such a Mama Bear, but I am digging that!

At one point, it felt like Lulu's instinct to run was going to be a major problem, but I don't feel like that instinct lives within her anymore. Lulu truly wants to be rooted with Dax and her babies! I love it! And I love how in awe they both are when they look at their children. It's so precious.

Still side-eyeing Harry. lol.

Now, on to this ending! Dax has hinted throughout the entire Dax & Lulu series that he holds back with Lulu sexually... Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Lulu would say, MORE! Can't wait!

The detailed descriptions from sex, food, interior decoration to boardroom showdowns is fascinating. This continuing love story is seriously brilliant. I hope you do a background story on the relationship between MM and Junius!
