Debris Pt. 01 - Songs From a Room

"I really enjoyed that," Alice said. "Thank you."

"Thank me?" Joe exclaimed incredulously. "Thank you!"

She smiled.

"If we're now going to have one of those secret student-teacher things," Joe said, "lets really make sure we don't get caught, right?"

"Yeah."

"That means nothing at school. And it limits us to meeting like once a week, I guess."

"Yes. Once a week. And go undercover. Wear sunglasses when you go to my place and stuff."

"We'll figure it out," he said.

So they cuddled for some hours, then put on clothes in case somebody opened the door, and went to sleep. In the morning somebody discovered them, they were apologized to by the school custodian, and, seemingly, went on their separate way. What nobody suspected was the relationship the custodian had unknowingly kindled between them. This was the beginning of a secret love the likes of which the school had never seen. Neither of them were ready. No one could be.
