Phew! Nothing like this ever happens to me when I go for a coffee. I normally just get it slammed down in front of me by surly staff who would sooner be on holiday. Your adventures are wonderfully ripe, Anna, and this story is no exception. Five stars worth of well done!

But... a minor geographical quibble. Anna recognises Jude's "...North East accent..." and guesses at Manchester. "Close," says Jude, "the Lake District." Ahem... I hope Jodie does the navigating when you go out in the car. Manchester and the Lake District are both in the North West. The North East comprises the several counties that make up Geordieland.

PS: How is the lovely Lilith doing? A happy and thriving baby, I hope. A grandfatherly kiss to the top of her head.
