No sooner than I had done that than someone was banging on my door so hard it sounded like it was coming off it's hinges. I stood, put my drink down and opened the door. Ms. Dana Alexander burst into the room and started.
"You jerk. You insensitive jerk. I'm a free woman over 21 and I can damn well do what I want to. No insecure twit is going to change that. If I want to fuck my ex-husband and 20 others, that's my right. Just like it's your right to do the same. I..."
I stuck up my hand and interrupted her. "Hold on, just a minute. Let's get one thing straight. I have no desire to fuck your ex-husband and 20 others."
She just stood there looking at me. "What are you talking about?"
"You just said it was my right to fuck your ex-husband and 20 others and I told you I didn't want to."
"That's not what I said."
"It's exactly what you said."
"Well, that's not what I meant."
"Oh? Okay then go on with your tirade."
She took a deep breath. "The point is, you can't tell me who to sleep with just like I can't tell you who to sleep with."
"I didn't want to sleep with anyone but you."
"Didn't? What do you mean, 'Didn't'? Don't you want to now?"
"Not if you've been sleeping with your ex-husband and 20 others."
"Goddamnit, I'm not sleeping with anybody but you. That's what I've been trying to tell you."
"Then where have you been for over a week?"
"I've been working, goose. Our building plans are behind schedule and we will be penalized if we don't get caught up."
"You didn't have time for me, but you had time for Cliff?"
"We were working on a deal for me to buy my house. He is getting married again and can't afford the payments on two houses so he wanted to know if I would take over the payments and buy it. I didn't have to because the divorce gave it to me, but I didn't see any reason to keep raking him over the coals and I can afford it, so we worked out a deal where I would pay the mortgage and he would contribute a certain amount every month until it's paid off. It's all pretty civilized. Like I told you, he and I are still friends; we just fell out of love.
"Where did he stay? With you?"
"Are you going to be this jealous for the rest of our lives?"
"Yes. Where did he stay?"
"With his sister about four miles from my house."
"And you never slept with him?"
"That's a stupid question. Of course I slept with him. He was my husband."
She was giving some of my sarcasm back to me.
"I mean while he was here this time."
"Do you not listen? No, I didn't sleep with him."
"How about the 20 other guys?"
"Asshole. Fix me a drink, then get naked, and I'll show you who I'm fucking."

And then not explain it. That's just sloppy. If you can't be bothered to follow up on your own set ups then maybe you need another hobby.

This is FICTION (i.e. 'made up stories') and OP was making a point using a bit of humor, some hyperbolic license and a measure of well-written dialogue. As Vandamonium would say, "Now, lighten the fu*k up!" Damn, people... it's a decent freakin' story!
PhoenixLore1981about 1 month agoNow as far as his ex taking over half the assets that's not true at very least she is entitled to half of the marriage assets not over half however add the fact that she gave him a std cause she was slutting around on him and her marriage so he could have sued her and won hands down not just to have her pay his medical bills but for the pain and suffering and mental cruelty that her cheating caused him so in the end he would have gotten more than her as far the other guy paying the mortgage on the house he can't live in you writers really have no clue about what really happens in a divorce once that divorce is final he is no longer obligated to pay for the house as far as allimony would go as it wasn't said that don't seem to be in question that it sounds like there income was close to being equal which means allimony would have been a no go any way learn what you are talking about before you write about it doing otherwise it makes you look like a damn idiot who just talks to him themselves speak
PhoenixLore1981about 1 month agoHmm she couldn't be bothered to take 5 minutes to talk to him while her ex was in town that in it self is a red flag but could be gotten around then suddenly she's just too busy to talk to him even after she goes home from work and when he asked her about fucking her ex she suddenly goes quite and hangs up add all three of them things together and you have a red flag that can't be ignored
