Great chapter. Darcy’s struggles are a common reality and you’ve presented them painfully accurately. I strongly believe that low self esteem is very common amongst women, even more so in the sexually submissive.

Her character background has her as a child from a large family handed off in marriage to a stranger. That alone would promote feelings of being invisible/ overlooked. His treatment of her has been extreme focused on Master : Slave, or Dom : Sub with little to no evidence of the husband : wife relationship. So to me her negative outlook is a combination of both things.

It’s incredibly difficult to try and transplant a modern D/s relationship into a historical setting so it does call for a dose of *suspension of disbelief*. As readers we don’t have access to the the rest of these character’s lives only what we are shown in each chapter. So in your minds eye they might have plenty of loving *vanilla* sex but it isn’t obvious to the reader. Last chapter I commented on contraception which I inferred from a leap of logic - or at least it was logical to me.

I must admit I’m more than a little envious of your writing talent! Love your writing style.

I loved this story so much. It was so sensual and was tugging at my heart strings. You should really publish this. You might have to edit some parts and fix a few parts but overall it was amazing. Forget the ppl who have something negative to say. This was your story and how you wanted it to go. If they don’t like it they can lick ass.

the ending was rushed

you know what when i started reading i thought it would be superb but your characters especially jesse is a complete douchebag you know why okay lets see

a women like darcy innocent sweet gentle submissive is a dream come true for any man be it a regular guy or a dom she is perfect she doesnt need any kind of training ,conditioning ,chastity belt,doggy type eating humiliation,no lube anal why do these things to someone as naturally submissive as darcy

and everything is wrong with jesse you claim your story is about jesse working on self improvement is a farce that asshole doesnt even recognises that he himself has pushed her to doubt and hate herself he never behaves like a husband he behaves only like a master fucking all the time after claiming her

everytime he makes her come it would be either clit simulation or just touching its never normal fucking like other humans do it would be always like a dom asking sub to come w/o any actual intercouse at all

but nowhere in your story jesse ever felt accountable or guilty for all his unnecessary punishment his sadistic kinks to her

instead he makes readers believe that it was all due to het fault and incompetence that he was forced to punish her as if she needed all those

and now while the doublestandard douchebag bastard jesse is thinking that punishment and humiliation are not enough(oh yeah it was not enough for jesse the asshole)

he is writing some stupid rewards and consequences

but wait for it

he will still use chastity belt for punishment wait what i thought jesse was done with punushment and poor sweet darcy had already told him she doesnt very much like chastity belt he will still use it

these are all the things that made her doubt and hate herself at the first place

so tell me how had jesse improved at all or how darcy will see her selfworth when he doesnt even acknowlege his part in darcys grief at all ?

so hence proved its only jesse with whom lies all problems ,nothing nothing is wrong with poor darcy

again everything us wrong with jesse and jesse only

so please kindly see the flaw in your characters and the mindfucking caused by jesse on darcy

there that was the most honest review i could give i love all other aspect of story how jesse was patient with her till her virginity ,how he was slowly training her mind and attitude ,how patiently he tries to teach her
