Author's Note:

A Drow's Dilemma began as a one-on-one roleplaying project and has been converted into a chapter-by-chapter format for weekly posting with the permission and assistance from my partner. It will contain a considerable amount of sexual themes such as femdom, lesbian, straight, 'reverse' rape, BDSM, group sex, romance, and other themes. The main goal of the story, however, is to tell an epic tale of adventures, gods and goddesses, fae, and nymphomaniacs. This episode and every episode to come will be available for free on Literotica for the foreseeable future. All characters that engage in sexual or suggestive situations are mentally and sexually mature: the human equivalent of 18 for their race.

Episode 110: Ylene

It was relatively rare for Risa to personally pop into the Seduction's boudoir for any reason. Her lesser avatars were frequently seen around, working on improving the spacious area deep under the surface of her dimension and making it ever more beautiful and luxurious in design and terrain, but her main form? That was new. The purple-skinned woman floated over to Dahlia, who was lazily recovering from her recent sexual torture of Hael'yss.

"Caleldir, Ashyr, Selene, and Ylene are on a little getaway right now," the artificial woman started. "Which you almost certainly already know, I am aware. I applaud your restraint for not immediately crashing the event, but I think that you need to appear in there."

Risa drew a deep breath. "I am not strictly at liberty to talk about everything that they discussed regarding you, but you may do well to try to make the three of them trust you a bit more. Caleldir will soon go from unkillable to mortal in that regard, and they need a bodyguard for him when that happens. They do not trust you to be that guard right now, due to your past shenanigans. You might want to mend that trust."

Dahlia smirked. "That can be arranged."

--

When the people vacationing at the cabin woke, Dahlia was sitting on the edge of the bed. Her expression was peaceful and a bit amused as she watched her master and his two 'wives' laze the day away. She watched Ashyr in particular; she was the one she never actually had sexual contact with. Dahlia wanted her, of course, just as she wanted all of the women Caleldir loved. The succubus also pitied her and was cautious and gentle when dealing with her. But if Ashyr had recently started recovering from her sexual holdups as Dahlia suspected she had...

Caleldir sat up, surprised to see Dahlia sitting on the edge of the bed. "Good to see you, Dahlia," he said somewhat guiltily. "What brings you here?"

Dahlia's passive smile broadened. She shifted closer to him without even realizing the motion. It always felt... right, when they were as close to each other as they could be. No doubt it was because of the familiar/master bond they had with each other.

"It is always good to see you too, master Caleldir," she responded in a friendly tone. Dahlia hesitated then, wondering what exactly she should say. The truth, probably. Or at least part of it.

Caleldir realized a bit of what had likely happened from Dahlia's seeming hesitance. Risa heard everything going on in her realm. Risa was on good terms with the succubi due to their shared nature. Risa probably told Dahlia about their dismissal of her as a potential guard for Caleldir once he lost his curse-based powers, and to prevent him from being kidnapped or forced.

So, that was likely on her mind. It would have been easy to figure out if he really pried through their mental link, but he was reluctant to do that.

"You will be happy to learn that Hael'yss is currently undergoing an attitude adjustment. She wants to become a succubus but... didn't realize that it can be quite the ordeal if the transformation is enacted by a seduction that is peeved with you." Dahlia allowed herself a dark little chuckle. "She will be quite repentant when we are done with her. I apologize, Selene, that you didn't get to punish her yourself. We also found that she was still under the effects of several... rather horrifying spells that turned her crazier than normal. Goelon was not nice to her. I think that Maevalzynge was anxious to get rid of her because of what a mess she was after he meddled with her mind. It is amazing that she was able to conceal her mental tortures while working here. We got rid of them, of course. We have our own tortures."

Selene sat up and grumbled in a low tone. She had had a good nap but never felt very charitable towards Dahlia. Not to her face, anyway.

"Anyway... Our prisoner is resting," Dahlia concluded.

"Oh, Goelon, I did not know... I feel sorry for her now. I know how sadistic I- he can be. I can only imagine what sorts of tortures he had on her. I should have guessed..." Caleldir sighed, looking glum. "Please keep in mind that Hael'yss is pregnant," he continued. "And before too much time has passed, I would like to get her into the Geneforge." He had about a month to liberate the Geneforge, then, before the optimum engineering time had passed. "How long until she is fully succubized?"

The succubus grinned. "Yes. She is pregnant. We look forward to the offspring that we will get from her. Cambions are a lot of fun. By the time you take the geneforge back, Hael'yss will be Trillium and likely quite penitent. There shouldn't be any problem with editing her progeny as desired." Dahlia might have thought that Caleldir's inclination towards genomancy was a bit weird, but she could feel the Excitement in his soul. She couldn't help but display a bit of that excitement herself.

Trillium? Okay, then. Yet another flower name for the 'public' identifier. Well, paid to stick with the theme. "Mostly I want to improve their future abilities," Caleldir noted.

"I'm sure that that can be arranged. But for right now, I wonder... is it alright if I spend some of your vacation with you? I know I haven't exactly been acting as you might hope, and wish to make amends somehow," Dahlia finished. She surprised herself by actually feeling nervous about their answer.

"I do not mind," Ashyr responded quietly. She looked toward the other two to see what their expressions were. Selene still looked grumpy but, since she didn't deny Dahlia outright, she must have been open to the idea.

Caleldir hesitated. He knew he should really try to spend as much time as possible with his familiar, but this was supposed to be just him, Selene, and Ashyr. Even Ylene had made herself scarce. "I do like having you around, and would like you to be around more..."

Of course he should spend more time with her. She was his familiar and had a deeper connection to him than anyone. She stifled that bit of indignant jealousy. It wasn't as if she had anything against the drow women. Dahlia just wished she would be considered among the main women who were allowed to vacation with him whenever they felt the need to do so.

Caleldir did feel that surge of jealousy, which pained him. He was in an increasingly impossible situation. The more women around, the less attention he could give each one. Which was really not fair to the women. His limit was probably two or three.

"Stay, then., Ashyr said as she glanced at Caleldir and Selene. They weren't going to give an open invitation, it seemed, even if they were neither going to outright deny her. "It would be nice to get to know you better."

Dahlia chuckled. "See? Ashyr is being a friendly hostess." Comparatively.

Cautiously, Dahlia sidled up next to the rather delicate drow and put an arm around her waist. Since Ashyr seemed completely okay with this, Dahlia kept her arm there.

Caleldir's posture relaxed and he smiled at Dahlia. "Good to have you here," he said genuinely. He gave Selene a light squeeze as he spoke, trying to keep her happy.

And so, the balancing act began.

Selene let out an annoyed snort. But she let Caleldir put an arm around her all the same. This was how it had to be, wasn't it? Caleldir couldn't very well ignore Dahlia any more than Selene could ignore her Ylene. Which she supposed made her attention split three ways as well between Caleldir, Ashyr, and Ylene. Selene curled into Caleldir a bit closer and held him tight for a few long seconds. Then she let him go entirely.

Speaking of familiars... "I need to go check on Ylene," Selene announced, "Then maybe we can tackle some of the activities that don't involve sex. Food seems like a good start to things."

Caleldir nodded. "That is a good idea."

"Food indeed," Dahlia said with a suggestive waggle of her eyebrows. But then she stood up and pulled a curious, slightly uncertain Ashyr up with her. "You know what I haven't done in a while? Painted. Care to be my subject matter, Ashyr? How do you feel about posing nude?"

Ashyr shrugged. Succubus Painter: it was a novel concept to a drow who only knew succubi to be strictly sexual beings. She followed Dahlia out of the room where they set up shop in a picturesque portion of the cabin.

"Alright..." Selene said, blinking.

"I did not know that you had an artistic streak, Dahlia," Caleldir said with curiosity. "I look forward to seeing the result."

"Quite a few of us do more things that people expect," Dahlia called out to Caleldir as she left to set up. Mischief was at the forefront of her mind, but it was a strange sort of playfulness that actually seemed mostly innocent. Even if both Ashyr and Dahlia left without bothering to put on any clothes.

With Ashyr's departure, it was just Caleldir and Selene. He stood up and finally summoned his clothing. "So, I will leave those two to their paints," he said casually. "Do you mind if I accompany you to check on Ylene? If you are going to make her your familiar, it would be good for me to be more acquainted with her."

Selene stood as well, and an attractively cut robe in blues and purples appeared on her visibly pregnant body. "Sure. Ylene needs to get used to everyone now that she is acclimated to not living with and being abused by the common population."

The two of them made their way up to a loft area where Selene could feel Ylene's mental signature. There was a little cozy window that overlooked the view that Risa had created in her realm. Ylene had a book in her hand, but she was looking out at the nocturnal creatures that occasionally ghosted their way through the nightscape. She looked up when she heard them approach, then put down her book and scrambled to curtsey to Caleldir.

"How are you doing, Ylene? Oh, you don't have to be so formal with him in this setting. He is my mate, and I hope you two can be friends one day," Selene greeted and then gently chided Ylene.

"Sorry, mistress. I'll do better next time mistress."

Selene sighed. Okay, maybe she wasn't quite yet acclimated to not being kicked around. That was a lifetime of conditioning she had to overcome.

Caleldir did not mind respect or formality, far from it, but he did not like people being afraid of him. "Ylene, you have nothing to fear from me," he said in a playful tone. "That said, I can see how I could be intimidating; I do not begrudge you a bit of nervousness." He gave her a nod then sat down. "So, what book are you reading? Something from Risa's library, no doubt? Are you getting along with the A.I.?"

Selene settled down next to Ylene, letting the catgirl lean against her shoulder for moral support. The drow let Caleldir do the talking, however. It was good for Ylene to just have a conversation with him. Conversations between Selene and Ylene were part of what made the skittish woman warm up to her.

"Yes, sir. Mistress Risa is strange but very kind. She recommended this book." Ylene then handed the text to Caleldir. 'The Adventures of Ginger the Catgirl' was written across it. Inside, there were several pictures of a female catfolk in standard research-adventurer leathers with daggers and potions at her belt. "It has a very brave and very strange main character. Her people were never enslaved. They are strong and can live off of their own merits."

Caleldir gave the book a careful look, sped-reading through a few pages. Hmm... He vaguely recognized the author, though he had not read this particular book. Definitely had had it in his library though. It was a good recommendation from Risa. Part of him had expected a slightly more perverted suggestion, but that was unjust. Risa was more than capable of not being horny or perverted if there were half a reason not to be.

"That's surface catfolk for you," Caleldir began. "Your ancestors were taken underground and enslaved, but you have relatives on the surface who have always been free. Though sometimes they are independent to the point where they are too easily conquered. They often have trouble organizing. Difficult to keep conquered though, because of that same independence."

"Are you enjoying the book, Ylene?" Selene asked curiously.

"Oh yes. I wish more of us were more like her," said the catgirl with open honesty. Then her ears and tail twitched as if she had been startled by what she had said. "N-not that I personally wish to be as free as she is. That would be terrifying, and I like it here with you, Mistress Selene."

Caleldir shrugged. "Well, one can be free and still have a lot of deep attachments. Even with your connection to Selene, you can be free and go on adventures. In fact, that seems very likely, given our usual tendencies towards living on the edge."

"Me? Go on adventures with you?" Ylene said in wonder. "Isn't that dangerous, though? Ginger is always just narrowly escaping death and dismemberment." She curled up closer to Selene, but the action didn't seem as if it was done out of fear. "I... I would have to get some tight leather armor and some swords. Maybe a bow... and I'd have to train for years as Ginger did." Her tail twitched back and forth in excitement.

Selene chuckled and began to affectionately stroke Ylene's ears. "There will be time before we go on adventures. I am getting to the point where I don't want to take a lot of risks if I don't have to. I don't plan on doing anything too ambitious until after my daughter is born and perhaps even after she's weaned. Until then, would you like to go through training so you can fight like Ginger?"

Ylene nodded and squeezed Selene tighter for a moment.

Caleldir was quick to agree with Selene. "Indeed. Years of training. And quite a few more upgrades. You may not be aware of this, but your race is uniquely suited to magic. Not to being spellcasters yourself, though you can be under the right circumstances, but to taking magic and fusing it with yourself to gain in innate power and talent. Like Ginger has the ability to teleport herself a few yards, cloak herself in shadows, jump hundreds of feet in the air, and suchlike? We can give you all sorts of abilities like that. But it will take a lot of training to use them. Also, Catfolk can be paired as familiars, which will make you immortal: unaging and unkillable so long as the mage you are contracted with is alive. Which would be Selene, presumably. Familiars can also access and add to their contractor's magic, which is how Catfolk can become spellcasters."

Ylene nodded. All that had been explained briefly to her; it was not unheard of for Drow to have catfolk familiars on occasion. But the parts where she could train to do the exact things that Ginger could do... she had never really thought of that. Up until that point, it seemed too farfetched that she - little defenseless Ylene - could become something so powerful.

"It's settled, then," Selene said, then gave her not-yet familiar a deep kiss. Ylene's display of something other than shy, scared reservation was turning Selene on for some reason. She forgot all about wanting to round up some food.

Caleldir felt both turned on and slightly awkward watching Selene and Ylene. He shifted his weight and turned away. "I will go get us some food."

He was back moments later with one of R.I.S.A.'s maid avatars, carrying several trays of food and wine. [From the Goblin's larder.] The Maid said cheerfully. She set up the trays on a table, bowed, and vanished.

Caleldir sat down at the table, rubbing his hands together cheerfully. "Shall we eat?"

Selene was reminded of her hunger. Yes. Better to quickly eat something before she got too carried away with Ylene. She and her future familiar joined Caleldir at the table and quickly enjoyed a light snack. All the while, they spoke of things that were possible in Ylene's future. All of it seemed to frighten and excite Ylene in equal measures.

Of nearly all topics Caleldir was interested in, the topic of mutating and magically enhancing people or things was probably his favorite. He was especially vocal on the challenges (well worth overcoming and not as great as would be expected!) on giving her the ability to pass through walls. And, of course, teleport to Selene at will. Also, raise her natural magical resistances to near-immunity, or even battery, levels.

The problem was that, when Caleldir got on such topics, he had to be reminded on occasion that he was talking about people and not theories, as he tended to get a bit impersonal.

They didn't linger for long at the table. When Selene ate enough that hunger didn't bother her anymore, she stood and looked toward Caleldir with a near Ashyrian grin. It was high time that he got to know her familiar on more intimate terms. It was only fair; she had done the same with Dahlia (even though, seeing as she was a succubus, sex with that particular familiar was inevitable). "You know, Ylene's little nook seems like a perfectly comfortable place for things other than reading."

Ylene's face flushed with a deep blush when Selene also met her eyes. She didn't look frightened, only embarrassed and nervous. Hesitantly, she stood and made her way to the nook. The action made Selene grin even wider. The drow had given the catgirl a choice, of course, and Ylene chose the best option.

Caleldir drew a deep breath. He was not certain about this, but, then again, he rarely was. Well, if Ylene was going to be Selene's familiar, then she was going to be de-facto an extension of his spouse.

So the upshot was that Caleldir did not resist Selene when she grabbed his hand and began to pull him into the nook as well.

Selene would not have insisted if Caleldir had pulled away from her then. He had had sex with quite a few people and didn't seem to appreciate adding to her partner list. This was normally just fine with Selene, but in this particular case she agreed with Caleldir; Ylene was going to be an extension of her mistress. It was good for her and Caleldir to bond a little better.

When Selene urged Caleldir to sit next to Ylene, the catgirl shyly shifted towards him. The most she could manage was putting a hand against his shoulder and running that hand down his arm. Her tail twitched and curled around her body in nervous excitement.

The drow smiled at Ylene's shy hesitancy. "It's alright, Ylene. He likes affection." Selene demonstrated this by pressing her upper body against the side opposite Ylene. Gently, she kissed the bottom of Caleldir's earlobe as she placed a hand on his thigh. "And Caleldir, you may touch her however you like." If he were another male, she might caution him to be gentle and to take things slowly. With Caleldir, however, that was his default.

Frankly, Caleldir was not used to shy girls recently. He had dealt with quite a few of them before he started dealing with drow and fae all the time, back when it was humans and light elves he usually hung out with, but back in those days, he did not notice that women were into him if they were shy.

Now he did notice, and Ylene's restrained, vulnerable attraction was a powerful change of pace. Also, Selene's presence and approval, combined with the insurance of continuity, made his tension slowly slip away. It was rare for him to take on a new sexual partner without guilt, but this was fast heading towards that place.
