A Beautiful Love story!

In my previous comment I said something to the effect that the situation could fall either way with Fabienne's mother. Good to see that the penny landed heads up. As for Didier... I think the last time I heard someone speak as bluntly and crudely about women as Didier was a military colleague about 1967. Even in those dark days it wasn't really acceptable. I have met other misogynists since but they've usually been more subtle. Thankfully they seem to be becoming fewer with the passing years. So, usual high fare, Pixie. More to come?

As a near hopeless romantic, the entire Fabienne-June adventure is a joy to experience — thank you for sharing. If this piece is the last, I am more than fine with that; if more, I will be there. The first part of this piece felt quick and bulleted, which surprised me a bit/fewer introspective moments, then I said, of course, Didier and his views needed to be excised quickly without hesitation — no time/place for them. Interesting/insightful how essentially the same words can have opposite meaning depending on who voices them and with what intention: Didier’s parting “midget” is a cruel insult, while June’s “shrimp” is a heartfelt compliment received with love. As always the sex scene reflects the storyline in a beautiful way; so integral to their relationship. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A nearly perfect story ... but why does Didier have to be a dick? After all, he was raised by a good woman, and the negligent father was not around to serve as a bad role model.

I suppose, Didier had to be out of the way, since a male character had no value to add to the story. Therefore he is quickly dispensed with on account of being a dick.

Now the story can progress, and we can pay our undivided attention to the reconciliation of mother and daughter, the reunion of sisters, and the incredibly romantic and sexy adventures of lovers, culminating in a marriage proposal.

Will this be the happily ever after ending? Perhaps not, because a seed is planted with the idea of raising a family. This will take any relationship to the next level.

Thank you Amadeus - Didier sees himself on a bad model - American hip hop artists. In contrast, Marthe like her daughter, is saturated in European culture which in the end provides them with a model to mend their broken relationship - and now - well we shall see xxxxxx

That was such a satisfying chapter in every way. Fabi and Marthe are beyond reconciled. There is genuine love and understanding coupled with a mothers pride and approval at how her underdog child excelled in life. Fabienne and June also showed that they are progressing in their relationship. Everything between them (especially the sex) seemed more intuitive, culminating in a perfectly timed proposal. It was a lovely ending to the chapter,........but is it the end of their story????? Hmmmmm 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
