While a pink-haired flamboyant gay man was a bit of a cliche, this was still a five-star effort. You have a unique and fun writing style - “dumpster-diving into the wheelie bin like an ibis“ - which makes reading enjoyable. You also did a good job developing the characters. (I would have liked to see older brother Mark end up with mean younger sister, who would be an even worse daughter-in-law, but that’s just me.)

Your idea about the jilted older brother ending up with Lisa's awful younger sister was a good one, wish I had done that instead rather than making him gay, but oh well too late now.
