Thoroughly enjoyed it until I got to the end, Where is it, needs another chapter at least. I gave 5* before I realised there was no continuation. Had I realised that I would have only given 3* for leaving me hanging

You have an interesting way of writing - not old-style, not modern, but a combination of the two. Classicly, I'd call it, almost noir. Very nice.

This is an absolutely wonderful story and deserves another chapter. Or two. Or more. IRL their story would not end here, it is just getting started. Why should it end here in fantasy? :-)
